2011 V6 Premium with HID forces you to get Pony Pkg?
On the Ford website configurator, if you try to spec a 2010 V6 Premium with HIDs, it forces you to also get the Pony Package.
I've noticed that the few 2011 V6s with HIDs that we've seen in pics and videos so far also seem to have the Pony Package, which I don't care for at all.
In the 2011 order guide/price it only says you have to get the Security Pkg. if you spec HIDs.
My question is, why is Ford making Pony Pkg. mandatory on 2010 V6 Premiums with HIDS, and will they also do this on the 2011s? I hope not!

You can get HID with the MCA pkg ... this is how I ordered mine.
However I think you can get them on a base Premium w/o Pony or MCA too, it is just the 2010 build & price will not let you do it this way.
Here's a pic of a 2010 red Premium non Pony Convertible with them ...
