Dude...really? Are you actually asking others about which transmission you want to have in your own car? And which is faster? Unless you are a regular drag racer, you cannot tell the difference. Either tranny will be driving the wheels of a very fast street car. The choice is YOURS. Do you drive in a lot of stop and go traffic...get the Auto. Do you love rowing your own gears...get the Manual. They're both fast, and FUN. Don't concern yourself if the Auto may run 1-2 ticks faster than the Manual...get what YOU WANT. Ultimately, you will be driving the car, not the other members of this forum. Test drive them both, and get the one that you like best. And, most of all, enjoy your new Mustang!

I have the automatic 5.0 I've had it for about 1 yr n 4 months 12,000 miles. Roughly around 2000 miles my gears failed n I had to get them replaced. Took a month to get my car back since it happen around Christmas n new years but now I haven't had any problems n never did with the transmission. I have the car tuned by Bama and man it is super quick,

I have a manual and love it, it also looks better to me on the inside.
As the other poster said, get whatever makes you happy.

I am stuck in daily stop and go traffic for miles almost everyday and still don't reget going for the manual. I test drove both, and the auto just seemed like I was not doing much at all once I got in the car. I wanted the feeling of having to shift, as it made ME enjoy the car and my daily drive more.
