Not really a fanboy either. I have owned Chevelles, Trans Am, MGBs, Monte Carlo, numerous trucks, jeeps, and other assorted cars. Never even owned a mustang, although I drive them almost once a month or more. Especially my dad's 69 Mach 1. (OK, not in the winter months)
Maybe my words were too strong about true mustang enthusiasts. but the fact of the matter is that the 2010 isnt crap. I wouldnt mind owning a Challenger either, but if I had to choose between it and a mustang, the 'stang definitely fits my bill better.

Actually, the relationship between the '05-'09 and the '10 is very much like that of the '67-'68 to '69-'70.

As I recall, there was a lot of opinion then as to whether the '69 was a natural evolution or an abomination. Time has shown both body styles to be classic in their own ways, and both are still loved by many today.

I hope the same holds for the '05-'09 and '10+.

Yeah I'm going to puke....all the work they put into reinventing the 2010 mustang...

and they go and put the ANTENNA on the most sexiest part of the car...the hips!!!!!!!!!!!

Have they lost their minds, if they were going to move it they could have done it for the better. What happen to the rear window hidden more? Talk about a huge turn off for me You can't hide that.
I feel like I am looking at a charger when I look at the grabber blue.

Please ford for the 2011 move the Antenna to the rear window or take it off the car all together it doesn't belong on the hip, its an eye sore!

 

What a let down. The 2010 looks way too busy..too tense. If you compair it to the previous version. There is no flow to the thing...ricer hood...hokey rear end...enough plastic trim to gag an Avalanche... and what's with the crease across the rear fender? (Sigh! Maybe if I hustle my finances I can still get an 09)...

I'll have to say I do like the first look of the 2010 V6 better than that of the GT - the latter really does seem a bit busy. IMO, the V6 is still closer to the 2005+ in its somewhat "purer" design which for me translates into "classic" while the GT certainly has a more "modern" appearance.

Can't wait to see what the 2010 V6 Convertible is going to look like with a pony package like my '07 has...

The '05 -'09 Mustang has a little bit of each year ('64 -'70) in it, if you look close enough and know your Mustangs. That's what made it a "retro" style. And that's what was so nostalgic about it. But now they must turn a corner and evolve. And I love it, I think they did a great job keeping a little of that retro style and nostalgia and bringing into this new era of American Muscle Wars. I must admit that I really like the Challenger. Keep in mind that Dodge has done in 09 with the Challenger, what Ford did in 05 with the Mustang. To get back to their roots with their American Icon. I wonder what the Challenger will look like in 4 years. Or the Camaro for that matter. If you're driving around in a Challenger or Camaro or even a 4 Door Charger and you look up see that new Mean Looking Mustang in your rear view mirror, that's right, all you're gonna say is ... "Oh Crap !!"
I'll take my 2011 5.0 Mach I Mustang in Sunset Gold please w/flat black hood, rear louvers and shaker scoop.

 

That drift Mustang is awesome. I want one in Grabber Blue now.

felt like the reveal on speed was just slapped together....when they were showing the generations at the beginning...they didnt show much, only 1 of a certain year, skipped a bunch of things..and alot of the "speakers" slumped over their words like they didnt know what to say, and well they could have showed more fo the car..but im sticking to my guns...i def like the 05-09 way better than this, and i still hate it

 

Love the hips on the rear quarters.

 

I´m surprised. The V6-front looks definitive better than the V8-front.
