Went to a car show last week, my dad and I came home with two trophies!
It was a great show, a lot of fun with plenty of cool cars.
More here if you're interested, including some from the Sam Pack Auto Museum: https://flic.kr/s/aHskavmEzm

There are some beautiful Mustangs there, not to mention a Cobra and GT40 side by side. I'd have planted myself right there and just kept snapping the same picture over and over and over.

There's not a Shelby on this page that I would kick out of my garage. For that matter, any Shelby on this entire forum. Any year, any color. I'm not proud.
I'm coming up very soon on my 1 year anniversary. Next to mine on the floor was a pre-loved 2011 GT500 convertible in black with red stripes and red trimmed interior, pretty much a drop top twin to 1 Alibi's '11 coupe. It had 5700 miles and my dealer was asking $49,500. The dealer, whom I've leased numerous cars from, told me he'd work a deal for me. But my 2014 had an MSRP of just under $44K, $3K in incentives, a $750 Ford coupon, an additional dealer discount, and a 72 month new car loan @ 2.34%. The Shelby couldn't come close.
Hindsight is 20/20, and in retrospect I think I could have swung that Shelby.
No complaints with my GT, but from time to time I think of that GT500 convertible and wonder if the new owner is loving it as much as I surely would have.

I'm gonna call it as a few Mustang owners having fun.
I certainly wasn't trying to ruffle feathers, just show off a bit.
I don't street race, so that was never in the plan.

Yeah, that must've been it ... Maybe why he flew behind me as soon as he could, and as soon as the road opened up, him going straight and us splitting off to the right onto another highway, he floored it to accelerate past us.

Congrats on your hardware score. I'm assuming Dad's is the DIB GT? I dig your Mach 1.

And ya, I took quite a few pictures of the GT40 and Cobra's. Outside the museum were a ton of a Cobra's and every time one passed by the ground shook, they were awesome! I've only seen this many Cobra's at once one other time. They're quite a sight.
Oh ya, I forgot to mention. My Dad and I clay bared and waxed our cars for the first time. I feel like an idiot for not doing this sooner. My paint is unbelievably smooth and looks amazing. It's just a shame it rained all last week and will all this week as well. But it was so worth it.

No doubt your 5.0 with a Whipple would walk on a stock or slightly modified 07-12 GT500. My old 2006 GT with a Whipple, suspension upgrades and drag radials had no problem with them. The 2013-14 GT500 would be another story....especially one with basic bolt ones. Question for you Gabe...are you running a built bottom end?
Renovating a house, no money for a built bottom end or a T56, both of which are planned for the future, unless I end up just getting a '13-'14 Shelby, which is certainly an option
