Nice ride.

You kidding me? The ride height/wheel gap looks fine. If you want to fool the eye and make the car look lower, install front and side splitters. Side splitters will help keep road trash from nicking up the lower panels too. They do like to collect dust though.

Thanks for the tip. It was only wishful thinking, I can't have the car any lower than it is, its a DD plus roads in NYC sucks. I might consider getting the splitters, but my plans right now for spring is LCAs and UCA to finish off the suspension and new set of wheels/tires (probably 20s).

Looking good! Did you wire the halos to your parking? I did individual control to mine. Which brand of halos did you get and are they CCFLs or COBs?

I gotta vent a little…I’m kinda PO’ed today. My brother works at a local dealer and on Saturday he texted me a picture of a 2013 Roush Stage 3 in his bay saying I’d look good in it. I couldn’t agree more! I was stoked at the price and knew I could make a deal if they were fair with me on my car. Since my car is still in storage for another week or so I put together a package of info and shot it off to them right away Monday morning and asked them to shoot me their best offer. In the TWO days it took them to get back to me the RS3 sold and the offer they gave me on my ’13 was so insultingly low it was left speechless. $21,500…WHAT? It was a $38,000 dollar car that’s less than three years old with only 17,500 miles on it. I’m 99% sure I’m going to sell my ’13 outright this summer -no trade in’s for me thanks- and look for something else. I can’t believe these dealers…

Your car isn't worth much more than that...especially to a dealer. They need to low ball you to make money. If you accepted that offer, they'd probably sell it for $24-25k. I hate to break it to you, but it's reality. I know my $46k MSRP car is probably worth no more than $28-30k at this point, even with my accident. If you sell outright, I doubt you'd get more than $26-27k with your upgrades. Just keep it and add the Roush parts! It's a gorgeous car!

Actually I just realized you've added most of the Roush parts already. Keep it and add the blower and call it a day!

Man,....that sucks. I hate delaing with dealerships. Pardon the pun.
What were they asking for the 2013 Stage 3 if you don't mind me asking? How many miles and condition of car?

Rears and lower grille delete. Aside from the hood scoop (no thanks) and foglights (no thanks), that's pretty much it. Okay, spoiler and 1/4 window louvers, again no thanks.

Thanks for the compliment on the cars appearance bud! In reality if mods do not add to the value of these cars, as this experience seems to suggest, I'm not even going to consider spending 6k on a supercharger just to watch that go down the toilet too.

According to most of the valuation sites like KBB, Edmunds, Road & Track, absolutely stock my car has a trade in value between 24 and 26 with an average resale value around 28.5. I was hoping they would see the value in the upgrades I've made to the car and shoot me something in the 27 to 28 range knowing full well they are all top quality, professionaly installed parts making it easy for them to upsell to anybody with the least bit of comon sense. Not the case. I think they don't want to work any harder than they have to in order to sell cars. Lazy holes. I'm guessing your car is a premium pack at least...if you want to sell it for 30k I'll buy it! In our market the numbers suggest it's worth around 34 to 35. The difference between your stated value and the market research numbers maybe small tokens to some but it's real dough in my world...but I still bend over to pick up lost pennies too

Agreed. None of the trashy junk you listed does a thing for me either. Truth be known, had I got that RS3, I likely would have removed the hood scoop, side window louvers and graphic decals.

I have as much junk hanging on my car as I want or think it needs to make it's point. I wanted the RS3 for the performance and interior upgrades. I personally think it's not nearly as attractive as the car I have now...or many of the tastefuly modded cars that grace this thread...well done to all of you!

John, don't sell or trade your car. That being said, that offer is not surprising from dealers. The less they give you, the more they make in profits once they sell it. In their defense though, mods you add won't add value to it.

As far as adding the blower to your car, that would be a great idea! Get a blower for your car for the primary reason of adding enjoyment and fun for yourself. Don't look at it as an investment, it never will be.

Just change your perspective and you'll be surprised at how much more fun you'll get out of it.

Thanks John, it's not for sale though lol. And it's in the body shop getting repaired 😔 check my last posts...

Mine is a loaded Premium with Glass Roof, Electronics Package, Track Package and Backup Cam. Every option minus the auto and backup sensors (redundant with the backup cam and without them, it's easier to detail the rear bumper).

I don't care how much mods devalue the car. I want my car to be mine, as you do yours. Keep nodding sir. Redo the interior to your own liking. I ALMOST picked up those Steeda wheels too, but I was going to have the center powder coated satin anthracite and the lips gloss black. Make it your own and don't look back. I may or may not do a blower, but I don't necessarily need it. The whole car is throwing money down the toilet, so you may as well make it however you like, because cars are a terrible investment lol!
