Thanks Darren. I'm hoping for a little makeover next year. I'd like a GT500 spoiler, then stripes, but the color will depend on the wheels. I dig the charcoal wheel look, similar to CDiaz's wheels above, so that's mean charcoal stripes. But I also like those wheels (or similar) in silver too, ergo silver stripes. I'm kicking that can down the road though.

Spoiler, stripes, wheels will make it look a bit more aggresive, sorta like some guy's DIB 'vert in Western Canada whose name escapes me at the moment.

It amazes me sometimes that some owners don't even do a basic wash or simple tire/wheel dressing when they bring out their cars. There were some events last year I passed on because I hadn't had a chance to detail my car. Sorry if I sound snobbish.

Anyway, my first official top-down pic of the year. That white stuff you see behind my Mustang is left-over snow.
Looking good!

I'm a fan of stripes on dark cars, because it not only looks dramatic but reduces the real estate where swirls and scratches need to be removed. Also why i bought a convertible, no need to polish the roof (not the real reason tho lol)

I think silver wheels would look amazing. I like dark wheels on cars but like the brighter ones even more. A stripe with a contratsing thin pinstripe on the edges of the large stripes looks amazing too. some guys on here have done that. with the details in your engine bay, the boot etc, those would compliment it.

I think i've seen the dib you speak of. only glimpses here and there tho. guys' a bit of a douchebag. Looks like a shelby wannabe.

We're all Shelby wannabe's to some degree....except the guys who have Shelby's. As far as that d-bag Canuck goes, I'll stay out of that discussion.

I like these wheels a lot. I think they're what you have. The 19 X 9 are attractively priced, compared with the 19 X 10 which for some odd reason are close to $200 more each. I don't understand.

There's also the same wheel at the much higher price in what appears to be charcoal. The $290 9" wheel looks to be silver, and I'd strongly consider these for a square set-up and the widest tire possible.

I'll see how I feel in a year.

Just get the 20" silver machined CS40s and call it a day. Why would you buy more 19" wheels??

Then do silver stripes with a fine red pin stripe to tie it into your engine bay. Also, the Shelby wheels have red CS logos on the center caps, so it'll look all nice and matchy. You could do the caliper covers too to complete the look

Deal. I've been considering starting a "mod consulting business." You think people would pay me to be their personal shopper for car mods?

Sounds OK to me. The Nigerian banker I got an email from today seems trustworthy, so why wouldn't you be? What could possibly go wrong?

Joe, and a couple other members on here can attest...I wouldn't screw you over. As long as you can make your CC payments and give me a limit, you'd have some BAMF parts showing up at your door.

yes i have those in a staggered 9/10. maybe they have an overstock of 9's so they are clearing them. they are one of my favorite mustang wheels therefore i think they look good on any stang. they are also neutral enough to go with any kind of stripes.

I love that Shelby. I follow him on Instagram. That car is perfect. I love how Texas allows you to customize your plate color to match your car too!

I prefer using OEM parts when practical, and those fit the bill. If it weren't for my recent driveway repairs and paying the IRS gobs of money yesterday, I'd order them right now.

Nice Darren! Is that a stock 99 motor though? Or did he rework it too? Won't be surprised if he did.

Once again I beg of you...stop with the Shelby GT500's. It's torture! That very color scheme is the one I'm nearly falling off the fence for. My heart almost stopped when I saw the picture.
