Burton. . . there are easier ways to earn side cash than detailing cars. Selling ones soul to the devil comes to mind. Gawd I hate detailing!

Lol isn't that the truth? God it's grueling work, anyone who says it's therapeutic belongs in the looney bin. I genuinely hate the work but I am a slave to the results and can't NOT do it. Case in point, last night I spent five hours doing a wash and two coats of CG Pete's 53 on my wife's car, and tonight I just spent 6.5 hours doing the same to my Mustang. I am *beat*. I suppose part of the reason it takes so long and is so grueling is because I also dress all the trim and tires and even detail in the wheel wells, seal the wheels 2x (ugh…), do the glass, and when I'm done waxing I take a final buff microfiber towel and go over every panel one last time and then edge every panel making sure all contours/cracks/edges of all panels are free of wax residue.

And here are some usual poor low lighting garage pics. Car will be sitting in the garage for the next few days anyway. I tell ya, while it's nice to park in a garage both at home and at work, it sure cuts down on the opportunities to actually see the car out in the daylight, lol.

Daily driver filth from a few days ago (yeah it was pretty bad):

Underneath all that dirt was a flawless vehicle still with lots of wax…but I needed to add a couple coats tonight to keep it that way:

Someone strap me in a straitjacket then... Because I really do find it therapeutic. When you're rinsing that paint down, blow drying, and and removing glaze or sealant or Nuba off that paint? That my friends, is pure bliss

^Lol to each their own. I DO enjoy washing and blow drying the car, but glaze/seal/wax? Barf. lol.

BTW what kind of wheel sealant do you use Burton? I've been using CG Wheel Guard for the last three years and regrettably just cracked open a fresh jar and honestly, I think it's a garbage product, lol.

And I know a couple of people in here that would gladly take your money to give you a car that looked that good so they could put it towards more mods for their own cars. ........

agreed! This is a serious question to all that have a valid answer.
What would one charge to do a premium wash/polish(remove some swirls)/claybar/wax/sealant?
