Ok, that's out by Tucson. I've driven that road before but it was in a truck in the winter without tire chains or 4WD. I don't remember much of the scenery at all. The section of 191 I was talking about is northwest of there, and the mine is the Dodge Phelps Morenci copper mine. The highway runs from Clifton to Alpine through the Apache Nat'l Forest. I'm on that road at least once a year (or used to be) during the winter for bowhunting. It's a gorgeous drive. Arizona is full of really beautiful drives.

Ah, ok, cool. I'm a U of A alum (00'), spent a little over four years there (actually lived there). At the time I had a beat up ole POS Camry, so it definitely wasn't that fun then I'll add your suggestion to the stomping grounds! There are a ton of awesome miles for sure. Weather limited this time... 1 day before I drove in, Mt. Lemmon hwy was closed/4x4/chain only!! There were still signs after Windy Point that mentioned ice! I treaded lightly first few days after that, lol.

I was driving MAYBE 20mph the whole way on that road. Every 30 seconds or so the truck's back end slipped around juuuust a little bit. Scared the crap out of this then-20-year-old Marine.
I haven't spent a lot of time around the Tuscon area, but my uncle has fought several wildfires down there. He's hunted down there too, I believe.
The stretch of 191 I spoke of is also called the Coronado trail, probably easier to recognize it by that name. It's best to travel it during warm months, as you'd expect, and of course watch the corners and switchbacks for oncoming traffic.

I also have the side and rear splitters, but this really tired me out today, so i quit at that point. It took me like two hours with manual tools (the ratchet stopped ratcheting) and I was kinda taking my time.
The OEM splitter was not reused, but at some point when I gain back some energy, and the weather behaves, I'll be cutting up the stock splitter ends and just bolt them on.
Just doing this little part really wore me out today. Leukemia (and the side effects of my oral chemo) are really doing a number on me right now. Next week will be my first *full* week back to work, and I'm already having doubts I can hang in there.

Yes it will, but you still need to do something about the end "caps" which in my opinion is really what the stock one is reused for. Stock is too flimsy to provide any support

Hhaha!! I just noticed that! It's the 18mm wide lens I was using/distortion in that part of the picture. Good catch Might have to sell that lens, LOL...
