That's awesome!!! But the only thing that sucks bringing a "new" car home dirty , u wouldn't be able to see any scrapes, dents, or prior body work. Once u leave the lot, your stuck with it. I had a HORRIBLE experience for being my first "new" car. I find out like 3 days later that my car had body work on it. Luckily with persistence and refusing to take the car back and filing complaints, I was able to get another unit

Wow that's bad. Shouldn't they have stated that in carfax?

Yeah but I thought it was new at the time, I remember the story but don't remember when it happened.

But if it were used and no insurance claim was filed, carfax wouldn't show it either. My Escape was entirely repainted and had front end damage behind the front bumper cover, that I didn't notice when we got it and it wasn't reported on carfax

Yeah man, that would drive me up the wall. sorry to hear. I'd talk to them tomorrow and ask them why they didn't put that in their indoor bays, to get it ready for prep. I'm disappointed in their service . But don't worry man, car is just dirty and will be fine. It just ruins the "new car" experience IMO. You know? Supposed to be a one of a kind special time...

Buying a "new" car u shouldn't have to worry about that so I didn't even think about that. What's worse is that I'm in the car business. I do paintless dent repairs for a living and I should've caught that. Being my 1st new car I was a bit too excited and taking delivery of it at night didn't help the situation. I learned a very valuable experience from this real life nightmare. Thank god it was resolved and now have a beautiful Race Red (this pic was 3 years ago after I picked it up from the dealer). The 2nd pic is about how she looks today

That "new" car with the paint work had 54 miles when I took it. Must've had lot damage and sent out for repair. Went right over my head with the 1st time excitement.

its not the fact that its sitting outside, its the fact that its sitting outside over night. I drive by a chrysler/dodge dealer all the time and at night, there is NOTHING in the front parking lots.

Yes. I do.

Having them NOT peel the plastic off, NOT wash it, NOT detail it, has absolutely ZERO to do with having the decent courtesy to park the car that is spoken for/purchased/etc for sitting indoors prior to delivery, esp overnight. I don't care if they're a big dealership that's sold a million cars to different customers over many years. EVERY purchase made by a customer is "special" to that customer. Regardless if it's a Kia or a Lambo. Stuff like this makes it seem like it wasn't an important event for the dealer...not good.

I can agree with that however, in my experience once you buy the car its NOT important to the dealer.

Now THAT, I agree with you 100%. And that's sad. Unfortunately, the same can be said for vendors and what not. Some here.
