It's not just a mustang. It could be a Kia for all I care (side note, I'd never buy a Kia, but was just making a point). It could cost 100k, 50k, or 10k.... If I bought it for the purpose of being a weekend/sunny day car, it will never see winter or rain for that matter. And that's what Marilyn is to me. A pure joy fun car only to be enjoyed (by me) when the sun is out.
Why? Because I want to

Exactly.

Btw, I got this "winter beater" 3 months before the GT/CS simply because I can.

I also don't consider 40k inexpensive. I wouldn't drive my mustang in the snow ...although we don't have snow here its 79 today. I do drive it in rain although that's rare also.

I can understand keeping a muscle car in the garage and not being a daily, I do that with my Camaro.
What I don't get is when someone gets something that's the epitome of daily driver like some FWD car and then gets a $3 turd to drive in bad weather.

Same here. Mine stays sleeping in the garage during crappy weather.
I don't even like to take the truck out when it's crappy.

And since we are on the topic of daily drivers, here's mine... I love my Acura TSX SE , Tori.
Although Tori does not look that clean at the moment. She will in a month or so. Heavy detailing in the works.

Your Car do what you want, but I would Never and I mean NEVER let some car wash touch my Stang. Dirty reused rags, swirl marks, and many, many scratches. Look at that guy in the second pic on the drivers side leaning up against your new Stang.

I've owned dozens of cars, but- even on the few I've purchased new- they all had some degree of "swirl" in the paint (which drives me nuts- especially under bright lights at night).
One of the perks of ordering the '14 from the factory was no swirls! I didn't even let them wash it during delivery prep. I happen to enjoy washing my car. I get that some people don't, but some of my fondest memories with my dad was washing his car every Saturday morning- so its a relaxing activity for me (and a chance to gross my kids out with 80s music ).
Here's a few pics of my '14 after a wash (the '65 doesn't get dirty too often, as it only comes out when the weather app says "0% chance of rain" ). I also included an earlier pic of the '65 pulled out (right after the '14 arrived- but before I had the striped installed).

Nice cars!
Did those stripes come from the factory on the 14, when ordering with a glass roof I thought that wasn't an option. ordered mine stripe delete. Been looking for options. Like the look.
