None at all. First thing I tried both xm and radio. Even inside my garage it was fully functional. I don't know why ford just doesn't eliminate the antenna totally. Heck my 2002 civic had the antenna built in to rear window glass similar to the heating elements.

There's a lot of little things I think they should do haha. That would definitely be one of them

I've had cars with antennas built into the glass and found their reception to be less than desirable?!?

I agree really. I actually love the look of the current antenna, for what it is of course. Nothing would be the only thing better. But not that halved stub thing.

Yup - a lot better than the days of interchangeable antennas with the Taurus, contours, rangers, and explorers...

Used to always keep it off my SN95 and just never listened to the radio.
