I like white. It was my second choice. Much easier to keep clean

Performance White is the Best because...

1.) White always looks like a six cylinder (sleeper, hi-officer)
2.) You can go with any color options and change your mind later (stripes)
3.) Keeping it clean is easy (touch up too)
4.) The Polished Bullitts POP with White
5.) The car looks bigger in White, thus making my head look normal
6.) I have payments on a White one! (Convincing myself every month)
7.) Better gas mileage (due to weight savings from pigment - Thanks Arthur)

I've always said white was the best because of the weight savings, from having less pigment in the paint.

I know that No. 1 applies to me. I get looked at and chased by the Law more in the Roush than in the Gt500.

Angel's colors were chosen in reflection of one of the first Shelby's put on the race track and popularized as a race quality car in the late 60s.

White is (also) great because it's a psychological anti-color. When you look in the rear-view mirror and see a car, if it has a color, your brain keys on the color and you instantly think "red car" or "blue car" and then you identify...so it becomes "red rice crap" "blue rice crap" "blue Mustang...sweet..." "yellow 'Stang..." and so on...

But you don't do that with white. For some reason white triggers the brain to keep identifying. So you first say "ooh, Mustang!...a white one, too..."

The effect is more pronounced on ricers.
"...Oooh shet..."

Paint lasts longer because it stays cooler. This helps keep the car interior cooler and needs less from the a/c system which results in fuel savings.
