I just got one and picked it up today and two of the sales men wanted it for a sale, but they maintained firm noo it's Ed's but now I need to find a Ford PDF file to get the intalation instuctions.

 

I tried that to get a consumer PDF file first off on hold for just over 22 min gave up on that 1-800

Wow Thank-You so much I'm not sure if I even needed to have one, but in therory it should have a better signal hard wired as to just an FM Link ? NAt & I will have to come for a visit in July and pick up stuff in person to save on those hidden UPS brokerage fees ha,ha. You do have so much that you just can't find here in Canada I'll bet you don't have Shreddies cereal ?

 

Sorry I almost missed that but I'd have to run out to get some Bi Focals to try to read that it shows about 1-1/2 inch by maybe 2 inch size so kinda hard to see.Thank You again for the file I REALLY do appreciate it ! Ed

So what's going on with this part, is it defective or something? I'm interested in a hard-wired aux input (Not something that taps into the antenna).

 

You'll have to wait for the TripTunes Advanced version. I believe its the one that Ford and Apple collaborated on. It will plug into the rear of the radio, be totally digital, use the AUX button, AND your suppose to be able to control your iPod from your radio controls, and leave the player in your glove box. This is to be released sometime early in 2007.

 

Only with 2007+ radios I bet......

 

After doing some research, it looks like the P.I.E. is the simplest way to go. I don't really trust the interface on the shaker to go through my entire music collection. A simple Line-In is all I need, and if a simple OEM part was available I would buy it.

 

No, from what I read off of our dealer email, its for 2005+ style radios. So our cars should be good.
