TRIP TUNES I-POD ADAPTER

I ask, as these install instructions look the same as the original ones that I got from my parts co-worker back when the accessory catalog came out last year. When you email them on Monday, can you ask them if you still have to solder the wires together. I'm not very good at doing this (not enough practice), and was really wishing for a more simple take out radio, and plug and play variety. If this is what is required, I'm still getting this, but was hoping for something a little more simpler. Thanks for the update, and any more info will be greatly apprecaited.

What a disappointment
This sucks this what everyone was waiting for but unfortunately ford is stupid,,
they didn't make it so that to use the existing AUX button but as an RF modulator,
it means its just like any other FM Transmitter but with better signal since its hooked to the antenna, to listen to your ipod(mp3 player) you have to click on the FM button and choose 88.3FM (not the clear on the pic, but regardless it’s a channel) and then you can listen to the ipod. (basically there isn’t anything special about this product, there are many existing products the are similar or better)
I found a diagram for a similar product,

DVD, PS2, Xbox etc... [is where you ipod(mp3 player get hooked up to)]
If ford is selling this for more than $30 is a rip off.
Check ebay use this as for your search:
wired fm modulator
or
fm modulator car
you will also find many others in froogle
this is my favourite, there is 100 frequencies to select from so you can choose any channel that is not used in your area, for best reception instead of being stuck with 1 or 2 choices.
http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=90119470

you will find many similar products that should work and will achieve the same results.
you can by the same thing for around $20 or less
here is another example there are too many to list

Edit: i forgot to ask how much is it

Form my understanding the forum is here to help out people to give them options, share idea,, etc… some people might not care what I have to say (its there choice) but some might think its helpful, again sorry it shows your working hard on getting the latest info, but its nothing personal, Ford could have made a product imo
Im sure a lot of people appreciate your help and info

I am Glad I ordered one First.I am glad I did not order a LOAD of them as they will not be as popular as originally thought. I probably prevented some Disappointed Customers. It is Still a neat unit for those wanting an Fm Modulator.

I have sent emails to all who posted NOTIFY WHEN AVAILBLE. If you Posted more than once you probably got more than one email. I said I would notify and I did. If you do not have your email open available you may not have been notified. I do not use the Instant Message System through TMS.

It is an FM transmitter, but comes with all needed hook-ups, no chasing for connectors or having to cut/solder connections (plug and play). Does not seem to charge the IPOD. YOU DO HAVE TO GET INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS DOWNLOADED from parts supplier, they are not included with the module.
Installed in a friends 05 GT 'Vert, took about 45 mins due to extra careful attention to taking itmes out. Sound quality is good, not excellent, CD's sound better. Some interference using the 88.3, but better with 88.1. Good enough for now, but would like a direct wire unit. Told that the second generation unit will be much improved, not a modulator, with charging ability. KC...any way to confirm?
