TRIP TUNES I-POD ADAPTER
minus the glove box step...the instructions are basically what i did for the PIE adapter...which works great...if any of you want something now i would really suggest that...its like 90 bucks...but it was worth it to me

I had a Lengthy Conversation with FORD ACCESSORIES Today and the IPOD Adapter will be Far Improved over the Original Design. I will be Among the First to get the Updated Info and I will post when the Info Is Provided.

Like being able to directly control the Ipod though the headunit?
I just bought a unit called a Neo Ion. Granted, it is not a Ford product but it connects directly to the port in the back of factory or aftermarket stereos and controls the iPod through the stereo buttons. You can still use all your stereo functions as well as the iPod without changing anything. It is not cheap.........around $190. The website has video instructions and the sales people are nice and willing for you to call them for help anytme.
Check it out.

I would call them and ask. Perhaps the website does not tell all. I bought this one as a gift for my son's Honda. I don't even own an iPod so I hadn't checked to see if they worked for the Stang. I would be surprised if it didn't.

I would love to find something to use in my current SVT Focus and transfer it over to the Mustang when I get it.
I got an email back from MP3yourcar.com and it DOES NOT work with 2005+ Mustangs
I'm really tempted to get one for the Focus now and pull it out to pay for Triptunes when I get the Mustang
