First Bullitt Airbox In The Flesh!
If I were going to Eliminate the Resonator I would Not Simply Put a Couple of Plugs in the holes. They Should Be Attached to a Flat Plate So they can not Get Sucked in or Drop Out. I would Make the Plugs Just long enough so the Top of the Plug Created a New Floor For the Intake for as Smooth a Flow inside. I made a Crude Drawing To Illustrate the Basic Idea. The Hot Setup would be Something Machined out of Billet Aluminum.
Your idea is better, but even better would be the availability of the air tube that FRPP uses with their 'GTB' CAI, which is the same tube except it does not have the holes for the resonators. Maybe they'll make it available as a single part eventually.
Overall, I just don't see the value in buying the Bullitt intake for a street car unless you want to brag about horsepower gains.

I was a little confused myself. The Ford, Jegs, and Summit sites list the whole shebang at around $669 or so. This is part number M-9603-GTB and looks like it has everything you need including the programmer. So, what is the Clevenger price then for the M-9603-GTB? I was also having a heck of a time figuring out what different parts I would have to order to comprise the M-9603-GTB package.

Here is a Little Food For Thought. The Factory Bullitt Intake as I sell it Comes with a New MAF Mass Air Flow Sensor vs the FRPP which Does not. At $249.00 Msrp + Core for the Maf by itself That equates to Quite a Deal overall. So my Point is if at Some time your Maf Goes Bad it Might be a Good Time to Get the Oe Bullitt Setup and Cut your Losses. Or on the other Hand You always Got a Spare.

maybe I missed it in this thread somewhere, but looking for the projected power improvements from the Bullitt CAI set-up... using the FRRP set-up (M-9603-GTB). I love this looks as does not look like the typical "add-on" like many of the other CAI's I have been viewing.
Thanks!
