Still falls short of the segment leader's interior, though (Honda Accord) >>

for a segment leader, it's too bad the lower trim part of the console looks like its getting ready to come undone (see lower right towards the corner)....

anyway, imo that's waaaaay too many buttons for a console, looks very busy.....we'll just have to wait and see on the new fusion's interior, otherwise im liking about 85% of this new one, curious about the taillights though...

It it will then I'm not surprised it looks bigger since new Mazda 6 is bigger than previous model.
They shared platforms last time around and the 6 felt much smaller in places, I don't have a hard time believing the 6 could grow by a fairly large amount in some dimensions while the Fusion stays about the same.

A guy at work has a brand new Accord coupe. It's a sweet car, but I'm not too impressed with its interior.

The reason the screen is deep is to shade it from direct sunlight. The reason it is high is to place it at eye level when driving. It's all ergonomics.

I should have thought that would have been obvious, even to Honda haters.

Ford has a history of not updating platforms in tandem with shared Mazdas-proportions would lead one to believe this is a cosmetic only update-similar to the 2010 Mustang.
