2010 Ford Fusion (new Pics - June1st)

Our sources state power will come from an updated 2.5 inline-4 engine producing 200bhp which will replace the 160hp 2.3 inline-4 found in the current generation. Rumours also say the current top of the line 221hp 3.0liter V6 will be replaced with a 263hp 3.5 liter V6.

From what I've heard, its the passenger seat ejection button....to be standard on all models.

I love the fusion and the new engines if true will be sweet!

Is the mondeo offered in AWD? If not then forget the mondeo completely.

sounds like a great engine lineup for the '10 fusion, hopefully it doesn't gain too much weight in the process as well...

At least we'll get decent rear headrests in 2010!

Ejector seat.

Seriously, it's just a kill switch in case anything goes wrong. Prototype cars genarally have electronics & software that is not fully developed and tested.

Yea, why would anybody not want the Mondeo over this mediocre car? The Mondeo has been compared to cars like the BMW 3 series, the Fusion is outdated.

Think the mondeo could have a base price around 17k-18k?

i think if all the money dumped into the desgn and manufacturing of the fusion was used to import mondeo's; possibly. there are many trim lines availible. I must say my aunt has a fusion v6, and its really nice. But i just like the euro looks of the mondeo. it is a very nice car that i would buy in a heartbeat. I would entertain buying a fusion although i just took my sisters 2005 accord hybrid out for a spin. thats a SWEET car.

The Fusion is an important car in Ford's lineup. Any improvements are welcome and deserved. The Fusion will continue to contribute well to Ford's recovery and cannot be ignored. I've said all along that the front treatment doesn't look as nice as the back. Hopefully they'll correct that along with adding the new powertrains to resolve that outstanding issue.
