Starter bolt, anyone in houston willing to help?
Starter bolt, anyone in houston willing to help?
Okay I'm desperate at this point. After several failed attempts to remove the dang top starter bolt on my 2000 gt, I am close to giving up. I need to replace my motor mounts asap, my whole engine is literally leaning to the passenger side. This is a long shot, but is there anyone in the Houston/humble/Katy/Kingwood areas or surrounding ares that has experience with this delema and is willing to help a fellow mustanger out??
I have all the tools needed aside from the right combo of swivels and extensions.
Help would be greatly appreciated.

It is crazy hard. There is another thread in the V8 subforum about the starter bolt right now too. I would just read around and try to do it like everybody is saying. Also a good idea is to disconnect the battery while working around the starter. I got quite the shock when I tapped the red wires on my starter while I was unbolting my H-Pipe... Good luck.

I really wish I was closer, or I would be there to help without question. Like you said, its about finding the right combination. Once you do it once, it will be cake every other time. It just sucks that the first time is the worst
