Radio capatiblility

I need a replacement radio (currently don't have one installed) for a 2003 V6, and I'd like to head over to the local junkyard and pick one up. I was wondering what year / model would be compatible with my Mustang.

My radio harness appears to only have one plug if it helps.

Can I get a 6 disc changer from a cobra, or do I need to stick with a single disc unit?

Thanks

I would think that any of them would be compatible.

Yep, any from 94-04 will work.

Not if he has an 03. He needs an 01-04 radio, at least from a Mustang. There were multiple Ford/Lincoln/Mercury cars that used that size radio though - Ranger, Explorer, F-Series, Expedition, etc etc.

Do you have the Mach audio, or standard 4-speaker setup? You'll be able to tell if you have separate tweeters on the doors (where the sail panel/side mirrors are mounted) and in your trunk, you'll have a package tray with amps and speakers. You'd also be able to see "Mach audio" speaker grills on the rear package tray through the rear window.

But wouldn't it hook up. All he would need would be the bezel I believe.
