I might just be crazy.

I've had my 2013 GT for nearly 3 years. I almost always used Bluetooth audio with my phone through the entirety of that time. Just this year did I start using the actual radio. You know, for local stations.

In the background, there is a ticking sound. A constant little sound. I don't hear it as much if I turn the music up - but if I listen to a morning show where people are talking, it's definitely noticeable to me.

Key words... to me. I have some friends with 2012 and 2013s, so I invited them inside to hear the noise for themselves. They hardly could. One eventually put his ear right by the speaker and said he could hear a clicking - but if I hadn't pointed it out, he would have never noticed. I unfortunately did not get a chance to check their cars out to see if they have the same sound.

This only occurs with FM and AM radio. Everything works perfectly fine with CD audio and Bluetooth.

Maybe I have hyper sensitive hearing... or am crazy. Have any of you heard a similar sound coming from your radio?

Have you replace or damaged your antenna? It may be a static pop. Without being there it's hard to say.

I do remove the antenna during the winter (I put the car away and remove the antenna when I put a car cover on). It just screws into the threaded hole on the car. You think something there isn't working right?
