Replacement
Can I just rip it out to replace . . .. . .I understand a little fuel will drain . . .. . . what type of fittings are on the filter. thanks

Nope. theres a special tool you have to get. You can get it at NAPA and Advance. Its like $7 and it comes with a pack of different sizes. But you can't get it off without them.

Maybe the 94-95 ones are different, but if I remember correctly mine just had a pin on each side that was easily removable by just pulling on it. Put the new on in place and just clipped it back together.
Do you have a Haynes or Chiltons manual yet? That will help a lot with figuring out what you need for this type of project.

Yep they are different. I thought that the first time I changed mine. Pull the pins and take it out. Needless to say, I went that path for about an hour before I went and got the tool, then it took 10 min.

the dealer I work at does it as part of the 15k services for all Ford vehicles under the QCM extended warranty. So every 3rd oil change. Be thankful the Mustang isn't a diesel, they have 2 fuel filters that need sooner changes. Not to mention they take 15 quarts of oil
