Difference between clutches???

I know my bearing in my clutch is going out, so I'm gonna replace it, looking to replace it with a 2, 2+ or 3. I can't seem to find anything that is descriptive enough for my mind to grasp. Can anybody help?

The only difference is the power they can hold. I don't know the exact specs but out the 3 the stage 3 would the strongest. If your not heavily modded then you could probably get away with the stage 2 or 2+.

A stage 2 will slip a little as you let the clutch out. A stage 3 is like an on/off switch.

When I was looking into clutches I watched a movie on youtube about Stage 2/2+/3 clutches, and they highly recommended not just jumping for the 3 because it's the strongest. I don't know how much power you're pushing, but they installed a stage 2+ on a Cobra with pullies. Just food for thought.

I've been real happy with the Ford Racing King Cobra clutch. It works well with my 400 ft-lb 5.4L engine, and should hold up well enough up to 450-ish hp at the crank.

I know from experience not to get too much clutch for what your car has. Mine is a pain in the butt and I can't wait to go back to more like stock feel. I got a stage 2. Pressure plate is so hard it gave me tendinitis (along with lots of basketball)!

It was actually pretty easy to do. See the link in my signature for more detail on the build. I love the way it drives with all that extra torque and about the same hp level.
