mach 460 speaker size??
OK so I've heard both 5.7 an 6.8 will work in an 01 bullitt. I'm redoing door speakers an found a nice set of kicker 6.8 and I just want to know if any body else has replaced them an will they drop right in.

Thank you that was helpful. It said current speakers are 5.5s but it also said that Mach 460 has a deeper mounting depth an it had 6.8 in parenthesis so I'm guessing they'll fit. From my understanding there's 4 speakers on back deck 2 woofers an 2 highs 2.5 I believe. Then doors have just 1 5.5? With the same highs in the top corner. 3 amps right? 1 up front an 2 out back

That's just what I read in the link. It said the amp was behind the headunit. What do you mean about taking the amp rack out? To install speakers easier or for good?

I took the amp rack out and mounted 5x8 in rear..the reason for taking the amp rack down is bc i wasnt gonna use the amp rack/ sub box or whatever u want to call it bc it made more room for my box to fit for my 2 12's

Doors will fit 6x8 fine. If you hook them up to the stock head unit you will run into problems since the factory woofers are fed lows only. I personally would just get a new head unit, then you can connect the 6x8s to the tweeter leads, which would be powered by the head unit. Not sure how it is on the '01, but on mine the tweeter amp is build into the factory head unit, and the woofer amps are in the back under the rack.
If you want to do it right, just rip all the mach stuff out, get a nice HU, some nice components for up front, a pair of 6x8s for the rear, a couple amps, and some subs, and you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner.
