This may have been posted before, I rarely visit the section of the forums. It is possible to hookup RCA jacks into the Shaker 500? What I am trying to accolmish is hooking up a cord that allows me to plug in a portable device such as the PSP or my IPOD shuffle into the unit so the sound can play through the speakers.

Nope. There are several threads in this section on that topic...you should be able to find a diagram of the harness, and Metra is working on a harness too.

Anyone know why there's an AUX button on the 4-speaker stereo?

 

My guess is that when I was going through the gears with a Ford Rep that it may be to add the 1000 from a 500 to be upgraded.

 

Now having said that why would one not be able to plug in a line for a juke box be it Dell or I pod gee then I'd have a 4o gig hard drive for music. each Dell is a 20 gig I have.

 

Thanks for the reply. It seems like Ford would seel something to use that button for (AUX) it sure would be nice to plug a PSP audio-out into a headphone adapter audio-in so the sound would go through the speakers :bang:
