I have a Pioneer AVH-P5700DVD in dash DVD player in the box new.

I also have the Shaker1000 already in the car.

Will the new head unit fit in the console to replace the Shaker1000?

circuitcity.com says unit will not fit in a 2005 Mustang.

Scosche has an adapter kit that fits a single DIN into the 2005 Mustang with a new storage compartment below to make up for the reduced head unit space.

Will it work?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

I have the Schose kit in my '05. The kit allows for a standard single DIN stereo. There is a small 1/2" pocket underneath. Everything else is a panel to fill the hole. It works fine and matches the plastic from Ford. Like I said its for a single DIN unit only. Hope this helps.
