Alright i value people's help and opinions on here. I'm looking to re-do my audio. I'm gonna go with the Kenwood DNX5120 headunit. first: does anyone know if the sirius unit required for this stereo will be able to use our factory sirius antenna? second: what speaker set up ? I initially thought of going the component route in the door ( up to 6" sub, and tweeter with adapters to fit in the existing spots) and three way 6x8 in the deck. with a amp'd 10" sub in the factory location in the trunk. Then i heard that kicker had 8" subs that fit the doors perfectly. what to do???? I'm not looking for spleen rattling bass, I just want to be able to hear my hair nation a bit louder. any help would be great.

When I installed the Pioneer AVIC-D3 in my wifes 08 she had the factory Sirius antenna. I could not find what the antenna connected to as it must be in the harness so not sure how you would go about connecting to your head unit. I bought the XM unit for her's (we already had a subscription for XM for both our Mustangs) and mounted the XM unit on top of the D3. I set the GPS antenna and XM antenna on top of the dash on a non skid pad close to the windshield. Barely noticeable at all.
