Steering wheel installation tough?

Hey there i just received my bullitt steering wheel for my mustang, and i was wondering if i should do the install or take it to the dealer? I haven't really worked on my car, or any other car ever really, so i don't know the in's and outs. I also don't have many tools to work with. With that being said, if the installation isn't overwhelming, i'm sure i could follow some good directions. What do you guys think i should do?

I plan on swapping out for my bullitt steering wheel tomorrow....
There is definitely enough direction available from posts on this site to make it easy enough for anyone with the ability to turn a wrench do this job.
I'll find out tomorrow : )

Hmm i've been looking through some threads and was wondering if it's neccessary to pull the airbag fuse from the SJB first? Could i just disconnect the battery, wait a long time, and then take out the airbag and steering wheel?

Here's my How-To thread and the pics will be back up as soon as the forum lets me in to edit the post.

EDIT: That's weird. I can get in to edit this post, but not any others. Is there a cut off now as to when we can edit a thread?

I installed my IUP leather steering wheel about 10 months ago-and it was quite easy. I won't repeat everything that StangNut states in his How-To thread but there is even a octoganal cut in the wheel center so that when install the wheel you don't have to worry about the wheel being off center. Took me about 30 mins and that's including the overly-cautious removal of the airbag (hiding behind the closed drivers door as I removed it for fear of it blowing up in my face)

Yep. I did the same thing the first time I removed mine.

According to the Ford Manual it says to discard the Main Steering Wheel Bolt after removal and replace with a new one. THe Haynes Manual says the same thing...
Is it OK to re-use the original bolt?
Is that what everyone has done?
THanks

No. Didn't use a torque wrench.

Steering wheel swap

I replaced mine, didn't cost much at all. And yes, I torqued mine. I understang the bolt is designed to be torqued down only once. Seems to me like it was only a couple of bucks.

Well got the Bullitt Steering Wheel Installed today, not as difficult I thought it would be.
It looks great and feels great too and goes really well with the bullitt shifter and boot.
Thanks to TMS and the great instructions posted from members, nearly anything is possible to Mod!
Thanks everyone !!

You guys were right, i installed it today and it was fairly simple. I didn't mess around with the SJB, just unplugged the battery. It seems doing the SJB trick is an extreme cautionary thing that doesn't really need to be done. Other than that it was pretty much just "unplug and pull" and then "plug-in and push". The wheel feels like butter in my hands
