I know OnStar is factory installed for just about every other car manufacture other than Ford, so is there a similar system available for Ford out there? I was just in my friend's Avalanche this past weekend and he was telling me all about it. He even locked his keys in the truck (on purpose) and then called OnStar to open it for him. :worship: Figuring if you have an OnStar type of device w/GPS you really don't even need Lo-Jack.

OnStar is for GM products. They have a lot of brands so no wonder a person can think every other car manufacture has it.

Only the last 4 on that list are not GM.

Edit: And Audi and Volkswagen are basically the same, so that is only 3 other manufacturers other than GM.

Audi's dropping Onstar on the A4 BTW.

Have it on my SRX. Never use it. Analog system. Crap.

I have it on my Grand Prix, got the first year for free but never used it so I didn't renew it. It is a bit expensive especially if you don't use it. If any thing happens, I still have a cell phone I can use to call.

Before you buy anything with OnStar in it take a look at this article:Here.

Sounds a lot like having my mom in the car with me.
