TKS Bill. I'm getting a full refund as soon as I have the time to uninstall it and send it back to them. Once I do though I'll be calling peripheral to see when and where I can get the updated unit.

Brad whatever happened with your order and install from mp3yourcar??

Well I think I'll finally be uninstalling it tomorrow before I install my hood struts, sequentials and mgw pieces. I think I might buy this new ipod adapter from pie. It's just like the peripheral one except you have a choice in controlling the ipod itself or using the factory stereo. Which is a good feature in my opinion because trying to find a specific song using the factory headset was a nightmare. Here's the link for any of you interested.

Hey Leo, before you send in your money for that PIE system, did you take notice of the drop-down menu of Ford vehicles that its compatible with? The 2005 Mustang ISN"T on the list. Only the 2004 is. Plus it said, its compatible with all Ford satellite ready radios (the ones with the SAT button on them, like the T-Bird, or upgraded Escape systems). This looks like it won't work for our radios.

Your right I missed that. Does anyone know if peripheral has corrected the problem yet?? I'm hoping that while there at it they add the function that the pie adapter has. Which allows you to control it from the ipod itself insted of just the factory radio.

I just checked Discount Stereo's site and it looks like they are shipping the updated unit for $175.98. The disclaimer at the bottom isn't there any more where it used to say that Shaker units aren't compatible yet and Peripheral was working on a patch. It now specifically lists the 05-07 Mustang as an install option. On the down side, it looks like the harness is no longer free, but a $16.95 required piece. Can anyone confirm this, or has anyone gotten the updated unit on their first order attempt? Is this the best price?

I might pull the trigger on it later today..I'll report back if I do...

I'm getting tired of looking at and tripping over my Sirius radio power cable and been holding off on putting the hardwire one till the updated unit came out..no need in pulling the center console two times

Question

I just got one of the Peripheral units for Christmas. I was real excited about it.

After reading this, I'm no so sure.

Any new news regarding the updated units?

I'd assume the updated units would be out by now. Just install it and if it gives you any problems send it back. If you do install it and it works let us know.

Just read every post on here and found a couple mentionong Sirius. Just got one as a Christmas present and wanted to check the install on a Shaker 500. I hate the thought of adapters and cord all over the place.
Anyway the Shaker 500 has a Aux tab on the front, what is this linked to?
Does anyone know if there is input for a Sirus loacted on the Shaker 500?

Thanks Upfront, It's my first post. Many to come....
