Taking it apart and adding a drop of glue might take care of the problem, but I haven't gotten my round tuit located to do that yet.
yep mine would turn too every time i opened the door. i might try it again with a different set since i have the holes in the panels and the wires hooked up.

Are these lights still operational for you all? That seems like a very original mod!

Seems like the quality is cheap? It is something that I might do, but I wonder what all of you think as far as what the longevity really is before it needs replacement.

And I dont have any footwell lighting yet but I want to put that in.. can the pillar point that you tapped into for power handle the xtra load of both those mods?

I am a total newb for wiring (just installed aux piece for the shaker 500 and got kinda spooked when I noticed my electrical tape was gooey, but I think that was there before I bought it cause the wires are not hot to the touch after a few idling tests), but I guess I enjoy tweaking/adding things.

I had some problems with my original installation of the door pad projectors in that the image would rotate within the cylinder every time the door closed and one that burned out. I bought a newer generation (uses spring clips rather than retaining nuts) and they produce a smaller, more attractive image and have had no issues with the image rotating. I am liking it a lot better.

I got mine on eBay for around $20. They type I bought last is not showing up now, just earlier versions being discounted, but search Mustang Shadow LED to get a list.
