Ebay, get the 4th generation, because the other are to big and don't fit inside the pad. It comes complete with the hole saw.

Thanks for the info as I had seen the early generation available on another forum, but just checked Ebay and the 4th gen is 60% cheaper. Ordered a pair as you can't beat $20 shipped

Absolutely awesome. How hard was the install? What does the wire connect to for power?

I'd guess the map lights since they're on when the door opens. Unless he just tapped into just a hot power & used a switch

hmm yeah that makes sense. I guess the wire attached to the LED is long enough to reach the map lights? Or do the map lights have a wire that runs downwards? I really want to do this, especially being a cheap mod.

Here's where they come from;
http://www.sdmustangaccessories.com/...tml?redirect=1

I tapped them on the map lamp ( right top post ) the hardest part is fishing the wire trough the pillar in the rubber envelope because it doesn't go free trough the pillar, it's a connector. So i removed it away from the body side, slide in a long ti-rap into a small space into the connector and it exit into the door, tapped the wire from the projector to it and fish it back inside the envelope, then into the pillar. For the passenger side just removed the glove compartment, the hole is just on your right, has for the driver side, remove a small silver box ( 3 screw 8 mm ) you'l see a big black grommet up left, remove it ( it's splice on one side ) then fish the ti-rap from outside the pillar ( this side is harder ) I use a ti-rap ( 16" ) to fish the wire so it doesn't damage the small wires into the rubber envelope. Ill be glade to answer any question, didn't no it will be popular, i should of take some pict ...... sorry guys !!!

The map wires stop in the right post, i had power running down from it to have my lighted seal plate plug into it. Iv'e seen a how to on google for the lighted seal plate installation witch will show you the color of pos & neg wire.

There is battery + power and the door switch - at the power window motor connectors that you could use so you don't have to fish the wires out of the door.
