I was looking at the window diagrams to help someone troubleshoot when I noticed it. Probably wouldn't have even thought to look there otherwise.

I did always wonder how the short drop actually worked.

these little lights are pretty cool. i tapped my under dash lights in to the map lights using the instructions for tapping in lighted door sills. it was pretty easy really. just tap into the wires in under the pass side door pillar and run the wires down to anywhere you want them. i ran them to the pass side under the glove box and then around behind the console to the driver footwell. i`ll use those wires to tap in these door panel lights. gonna try to post the pdf instructions i used

I've now installed! Thanks Synar! Great

Men should pay attention to the Smart Junction Box (SJB) they could get a damage (durable) is not designed for such a load! Necessarily fit LED bulbs in the indoor lighting. That consume less electricity and works.

Yes and no ............ they don't go free, it stops at the pillar because there is a socket connection right there, so if you unlock the socket from the pillar you'l be able the fish it trough that socket, just remove the rubber over the socket. If you dive under the driver side, you will see a black a black plastic grommet behind a small metal box hold by 3 screw 8mm, remove it and by the outside of the pillar you will be able the fish the wire through, but they aren't aligned, so be patient, pass side is way easier, just remove the glove box.

Has anybody done this mod with the inside the door connections? I am interested in trying it and wondered about any hints.

so the set i got off ebay for $20 already crapped out. first thing i noticed was how hot they get when they are on. they looked great for about a month. then the color fizzled out. lost the red and blue, now they are just white and the outside ring is fading now. might have to look into a better set. it was fun while it lasted. how are some of the others holding up?

I had one die within a week, but the supplier replaced it. The 2 on now have worked fine for a few months, but the image on one rotates a little every time the door is closed. Taking the dead one apart I see neither the Mustang slide nor the barrel that it and the lenses sit in are anchored to the case, so I've just put up with it. Taking it apart and adding a drop of glue might take care of the problem, but I haven't gotten my round tuit located to do that yet.
