Considering everything Ford had to work through, I think they did a great job with the '05.

I agree with that as well...Seems there is alot of people that are trying to find fault with the 05 Mustang. But they are overlooking all the good. I don't care what anyone says, this car is the nicest new car out there. A true retro muscle car And I for one, take my hat off to FORD for going down this road!! No one or nothing is perfect, but ya gotta try !!

I think that the wood inserts look good around the stereo and the shifter console on the 05.

I also called woodview, but I was not given any option to buy the parts individually. $200+ just to cover the stereo and shifter console does not seem worth it to me. :notnice:

BTW
I know it will happen: Desert and forest camo inserts.

They told me they would break it up and will sell them individually, I even got separate prices, of course, that was on the metal trim, all the same though, from what I understood.

That all looks like a little too much metal to me. There also seems to be a difference in finish so it doesn't blend right.

The finish is very nice. Much better than it looked in the box. It is not a perfect match but it still looks very close. It has a smooth finish where the IUP pieces have the lines running through it. I think it would be hard to replicate that with plastic. I bought it from Automega.

woodview does not actually sell them. They refer you to one of 6 online/phone suppliers that they supply. Only one of them said that they could sell the parts to me seperately, but they have yet to get back to me.

They told me a similar story, and broke down the parts for me, they also told me if i had no luck or a problem with the dealers, they would sell to me direct!!!

FWIW - I just ordered the "double brush" interior accent pieces (window switch trim and center stack outline) from Woodview - via the number supplied early on in this post. I didn't want to put too much on and am still debating if I will add the center stack surround or not.

I got the above mentioned pieces for $70.00 + shipping. When I asked him about the match he went and looked at the actual kit and told me it was a 95% match with the factory IUP DASH pieces? I thought we could only get the "brushed nickle" finish - like the steering wheel and door handles....but he said the finish even had the small lines in it like the dash pieces.......sound right?

He did say there were no returns? Are we all dealing with the same company?

I think we were talking "satin nickel"

David - that's what I thought....but from what I've seen on this thread - the finish of the aftermarket pieces is similar to the steering wheel/door handle surfaces - yet he went and looked and told the my pieces were going to be identical to the IUP dash pieces - complete with the lines???? I'm not even sure that's gonna look good as I was thinking the window switches should match the door handles/steering wheel pieces and the center stack surround could go either way......I guess I'll find out when they arrive. I'll post after I get them next week.
