Thumbs down

OK...There was a thread earlier that posted the SSInserts website that has the IUP dash insert packages. However you could only buy the complete package or the 5 piece lower pack . So i went a little deeper to find the supplier, which is Woodview Automotive. I emailed them the following...

Good Day,

I was looking at you dash kits for the 2005 Mustang and was wandering if
you can purchase separate pieces. I'm interested in...

1- Speedo
2- Center vents
3- Upper airbag
4- Lower airbag
5- Right vent

Could you please let me know if I can buy these and if so, the cost
And they replied....

Your prices are as follows:
#1 $30.00
#2 $25.00
#3 $25.00
#4 $20.00
#5 $20.00

Total amount: $120.00.
Freight is extra at $15.00 for UPS ground service.
Regards,
Michele
Woodview Products

So it looks like you are able to get the inserts !! I am just curious if anyone has ever used these people before and if their product is good quality. They seem to be very professional but its always good to do some homework before you order from a new source.

This stuff is already discussed at length here:
http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?showtopic=10964

Btw I would not call these IUP inserts, as they cover everyting BUT the IUP parts

Btw2: They offer the most bizarre colors and prints. Orange, American flags, flames, you name it...

NO...thats the part your missing. The pieces that I asked them about are the IUP original pieces...
1- Speedo
2- Center vents
3- Upper airbag
4- Lower airbag
5- Right vent

NOT all the other pieces. I dont want/like all the other parts, I think its too much. This is just the IUP area of the dash inserts. That is why I started a new thread. In the other thread it stated that you could not get just the IUP parts...but you can from this place!! Sorry if I screwed up but I thought people, especially people with V6's, may be interested in this.

I do think people starting new topics about the same subject all the time is really annoying. Has nothing to do with being rude. In this case however I was at fault with my comment, I agree and I have apologized for that. But let's not forget that forums like these are meant for discussion and exchange of opinions, positive or negative. That's what makes them great. If you would like to call it wining, that's your choice. I call it freedom of speech. I understand that to be a great value for most Americans.

Maybe someone can make a flash movie with these panels and all the different finishes they offer. Like the guy that did that great stripe painter.

i have them on my 96. My kit was not very big as i didn't want it to look overdone, so my pieces aren't as big. but my kit is well cut and the quality is great. if i wash my car tomorrow i will take some pics.

I have the brushed stainless on my '05. Bought the set and picked out the pieces I wanted. Flight 96, if you are ordering by the piece, you'll have a nice set up without the cost I went to. The black console on my car reminded me of a black coffee table, beautiful, but has to be dusted every minute to keep it that way. The stainless took care of the problem and looks great also.

The look through the window shows exceptionally good with the stainless. I only used four pieces....it's real easy to overdue it. I'll try to get some pics up Saturday.

Ordered mine from SS Inserts some time ago. As you know, they are being supplied by Woodview. Install is very easy, rub down the receiving area with a treated cotton, which is supplied, remove the backing and just be careful when you apply it. As long as you're not being hurried it should come out great. The brushed stainless fits in very well with the existing trim of the IUP.

Between Flight 96' original post and Kahdir' post of the schematic, you should have all the cost info. I'll try to post pics of what I have tomorrow or Saturday.
