My original posts were in reference to what I "ordered", i.e, brushed stainless. This afternoon I opened the package the inserts came in and the packing slip says they "shipped" satin nickle. (I still have the original package because I still have pieces I've never installed).

Satin Nickle seems the way to go. That's what Woodview & SS Inserts show in their sample photo w/parts added to the original I.U.P. & by what Paul's pics show. Thanks Paul (wild stray) & "flight96" for showing the photos. You both did a good job. I think the door controls & center consol looked great as well as the back of the radio consol. I want to get the 5 pc. kit too just to use the 2 pieces for the right & left of the radio & climate consol.

This site sells the double brushed aluminum which they call GT accent color which they tell me matches the interior upgrade package. I just bought the whole kit and will post pics when it is installed.

Same product being sold by another outfit. Also, shows satin nickle as the correct finish.

Agreed, Ford gave us a wonderful "canvas" to do our own things with.

Hey 38,
Sounds like it would be pretty cool, just dont know about that in a musclecar/retro stang, sounds a little t-bird ish, probably make it look richer if that is the look your after, your car sounds a little to bad hiney for that kind of luxury appointment, but the colors would look good together...........JMO,

Happy Holidays....................................Dave

Don't forget retro fans, the original GTs of 65 and 66 had the Ford factory "wood" inserts on the dash, glove box door and console if equipped. Of course they were paper and didn't always look as good as the liners mom put on the kitchen shelf! So wood inserts would pass the retro test. I actually cheated a bit on my 66 and have actual Rosewood, a slight departure from stock.

I would love the crash balloon to come down from the roof to prevent injury so that we could have nice looking steering wheels again.

I guess it is less fool proof if it starts where it is needed.
