Isn't that one of the photos that was floating around at least a month ago? (Before Trufiber's recent tweaks to the hood)

sorry, this was the first I've seen of the GT500 version hood and also the first I had noticed that the website was actually setup for deposits. Last week when I checked it was still not setup for the GT500 version.

This was the first prototype that Phil at Trufiber wasn't completely satisfied with. This pic was taken before I sent them my stock hood to assist them with the mold. I thought it looked pretty good, but Trufiber was not satisfied with the lines. They want it perfect and so do I.

I just want to see one painted so we can see the lines better. It's hard looking at an all white hood.

The new prototype is finished and according to Phil it looks good. He is happy with the result and said he has already given the green light to begin manufacturing the first batch of hoods. He told me it will probably be mid to the end of December before they start shipping.............Merry Christmas to us!

I'm sure Phil will post pics soon.

I truly look forward to placing an order for this hood. Looks fantastic!

Has anyone thought about a source for striping for the hood? Would it be better to paint the stripes on the hood to color match the factory stripes in vinyl? The factory hood stripes with the cutouts for the louvers will not fit this hood. Are all of the factory metallic color stripes available in sheet material to cut customs?

Amazing (as usual)!

When will you be accepting deposits for orders?

James,

I've done vinyl and paint.............You absolutely want to paint this hood. The vinyl would be a nightmare. It woulld never look right........too many contours.
