I got two other ducktails before getting the Cervini spoiler, and will say their urethane parts are second to none. I definitely like the look of most of their hoods, but I personally think the underside finishing is poor, at least when it comes to a show car. With the hood closed they look great, but opened up they definitely look "aftermarket" and detract from the looks.

You put the TruFiber hood on with the agreement with Phil that you would put there name on somewhere, since you got the hood for free, but you didn't. Instead, you had Mike's logo across your windshield and didn't have his body parts on your car. You only had Agent47 and TruFiber. You could have kept your stock hood if the TruFiber hood was so inferior, but you told me you really liked it. You were even saying at the Queen Mary show about how great the hood was. Remember sitting and talking with Phil and Brandon and myself? Sorry Rich, but I can't read any more of this BS! I won't go any deeper about things said by parties involved, but your comments don't hold any water!

Scott
ok let me clarify...."MY HOOD" meant the one Ive been working on before Trufiber even mentioned that they were making this hood. Yes their hood had been sitting at Eds since your hood was there, but I had told them at the Queen Mary that I wouldnt be putting their hood on my car and that is why it ultimately sat at Eds. Because then without my knowledge there was some deal made that it would go on my car, Ed doing so because he thought I wouldnt care about getting a hood out of the deal, but as I told Phil and Brandon at the Queen Mary that the reason I didnt want to put their hood on my car was because I was in the process of making a very similar hood and that I am good friends with Mike from ACP and wasnt wanting to step on any toes being that he is their direct competition. I wanted to be upfront with them about it because they were very nice guys and I dont like hiding things from people, they said they understood, but then a couple weeks later I find out that they dropped off a hood at Eds to put on my car for SEMA, after I told them I wouldnt. Now Ed didnt know I had already told them no so he took it. After I told Ed he said it was fine by him, and then relayed that to them. I dont know what happened between their discussions after that but just before SEMA Ed told me that it would be doing him a favor to put it on my car for JUST SEMA. So I called Mike and made sure he was cool with it and he was, so as a favor to ED I said go ahead, it was painted and installed last minute and I picked up the car on Saturday evening (it had just been put on the car when I got there) and drove the car to Vegas Sunday morning. The plan was then to take the hood back off after SEMA of which Trufiber and Ed had another deal between them of what to do with the hood, then while at SEMA it was discussed between Ed and them that the hood would stay on my car (to promote Trufiber at any shows I go to, as a favor to them) until my hood was done and then it would be swapped out and their prior agreement would then be carried out. Of which through all of this I would get NOTHING from it. The hood is not mine and I am NOT keeping it, I am doing everyone a favor by having it on my car and taking it to all the shows I go to and getting all the **** coverage it is getting. I am telling no one that the hood is anyones but Trufibers so they are getting full credit for it.

I NEVER MADE ANY DEAL WITH ANYONE FROM TRUFIBER. NO ONE FROM TRUFIBER TALKED TO ME ABOUT THE HOOD NOR MENTIONED ANYTHING ABOUT STICKERS. I assumed that they would want their name on the car and so I contacted them and asked for a file of their logo so I can have it made in the same color as all of the rest of the stickers and in fact in that email I discussed keeping ACPs sticker on the car, they had no problem with that and thanked me for planning on putting their sticker on the car. BTW the big ACP banner on the windshield was removed and replaced with an Agent 47 sticker since they were the ones showing the car. All of the rest of the stickers were to go onto the door, including ACP. Unfortunately (since I dont make stickers it was out of my control) there were many companies' stickers that for some reason had issues and they werent made, not just Trufibers. If you were at SEMA you wouldve noticed that my car went the entire first day of the show without ANY stickers on it, as they were brought to me the second day. In fact Eds shops (SW CUSTOMS) sticker didnt get onto the car until late the second day and almost didnt, but I made a few calls to make sure that one was made and brought up special because if anyone deserved to have their name on the car other than Agent 47 it would be Ed. For this mishap I appologize to all that were effected, but again no deal was struck and while Phil and Brandon were at SEMA not once did I see them nor hear from them (and I was very easy to find and they have my cell number) but they did put their cards on my car which is fine. They were on there for the last 2.5 days.

In short I have been working on a very similar hood for a much longer time, and have put a lot of money into it and as it is my first venture into such an aftermarket product the last thing I wanted to do was give competition the publicity of SEMA and all of the coverage that comes with it, and I was up front and honest about that before anything, and ultimately gave in as a favor to everyone else involved. The stickers was unfortunate but out of my control. And now I am going to get **** for trying to be nice???

I have no beef with you Scott and you seem like a very nice person so I am not mad at you, but please next time you think you know exactly what is going on....just ask me. I dont know who told you what but you are missing a lot of what happened. I would give you the same respect. I have also bit my tongue on many other things and will continue to do so so as not to create any kind of e-drama because that is not what I am about, but I will also not be one to have false acusations made of and sit idly by while my name is tarnished and not do anything to set the record straight. So perhaps you can get all the details straightened out before you go around talking about it, and perhaps I should also just try not doing anything nice for anyone in the future as it never seems to pay off.

I agree I dont want this thread to turn into anything negative, lets just let it get back on topic. I just wanted to get the truth out there in response since Scott brought it up in a public forum. Scott if you want to discuss it further please feel free to PM me.

Don't get me wrong, I have NO experience with TruFiber and am not commenting on their quality. Just stating my experiences with Cervini's quality, which relates to the quoted statement.
Yeah, that was pretty much what I was getting at when I made my post. I can't imagine all fiberglass hoods have identical positives and negatives. My body guy pretty much said that the Cervini's he has worked on required minimal fixing. However, like Boltman said, the TruFiber is by far the best looking and I wish others made a similar one.

Richard,
I'm sorry for coming off so hard. I was a total a$$hole for that! I think you're a cool guy would'nt mind knowing you better. I truly have no personal beef with you at all, and was not trying to just give you sheit. I was merely calling BS on your post since I knew at the end of the Queen Mary show that you'd be getting the GTS2 hood for SEMA. I was told this by Ed, Phil, Brandon, and we(you and I) even talked about it(at the time you didn't know exactly who I was) while we were sitting in the chairs during the extremely long winded, drawn out trophy ceremony. Boy, can Jon talk!! Anyway, I took exception to the "last minute" part that you said, due to the fact that the day I went to drop off my hood at Ed's shop and your hood was there, and you and I talked about it again. That was when we also spoke about the Agent47 lower grille for my car(which looks great, and I need to get their decals from you for my rear side windows before the San Diego Int'l Auto Show). I assumed that since we(you and I) talked about it with the other guys, that you knew what was being done for your car . I know everything that is being done to my car since I own it.I guess I just assumed you would too.

Again Rich, I have no personal beef with you, and in fact enjoy reading your posts and seeing your photos. You are a cool guy and have an absolutely beautiful car! In the future, I will pm you if I have any issues with you at all and we can discuss it, rather than posting in the forums. I apologize to you and the others here for my post.

Scott

ps

Rich,
I'll pm you my cell#. Call me if you will so I can get some Agent47 decals to put on before the SDIAS.

Like I said I have no beef with u either. I just wanted to clarify. I understand how without all of the info it could look like I was being shady, but thats why I try to stay away from and ignore all the different edrama I always see online...because unless we are personally involved we never know the entire story. Things happened really fast and changed often, so as info was being relayed from one to the next and back it ended up being real late in the game and ultimately the hood wasnt started to be prepped to be put on until the very last second. I even missed work in order to pick up my car in order to leave first thing in the morning to get to SEMA in time to check in. Not as down to the wire as the dramatic finishes you see in tv, I think I had a couple minutes to stop at 7-11 once in Vegas for a coke...lol

I got the PM and I will call you tomorrow. I will contact Corey and see if they have stickers on hand. I was thinking about entering my car for consideration at San Diego but opted not to in the end for a couple reasons. Good luck with that and Ill make sure to stop by and check it out.

Well, it's Xmas Eve so I thought I'd bump this thread and wish all of you a happy holiday. At the same time I thought I'd post pics of my GTS-2 hood. Regarding hood shake, I guess I'm one of the lucky people with any third party hood (or stock hood for that matter) because I haven't experienced any shake up to 110 mph. If you notice on the closeups, I had a couple of mods done. I especially like the turn signal lights/flasher embedded on the backside. Looks really slick at night.

Anyway, happy holidays to all!

Very Nice job on that hood, Looks great!
How large is your gap on the sides, also, do you have hood struts installed?

David, thanks for the compliment. The pics don't do the hood justice; it looks a lot better in person. The gaps on the side are a bit wider than stock and the curvature from front to back is arched just a tad. Nothing I can't live with although it could have (or should have) been a better fit. Overall, though, I'm very happy with the results. Yes, I do have the CDC hood struts and they work like a charm. Of course, it's too early to tell if I'm going to have a warping or bending issue. Time will tell but for now all is good.

I've been meaning to PM you about the issues you have with your hood. I was sorry to read you were having fitment problems. Especially since you were the lead in getting us the group buy and I believe most of us had no problems, or at least the magnitude you experienced. The fender bender didn't help at all. Anyway hope things work out well in the end. Happy holidays.

---John

I about sh#t myself when he said that. When I told him it needed to be prepped, he said that it would take about 5-8 hours to do so. DUH!!! There was no doubt as to what my next move was! The last thing I heard before leaving was "I want to get paid at least for the materials." I guess he meant the unopened/unused cans of paint. The new shop has done alot of custom work that is outstanding. I will be getting it back in a couple of days, and as promised, I will post pics immediately. Sorry for the delay, but I'm still recovering from the unwanted penetration I received from the first shop.
Ok guys, after a bunch of sheeit talking by the owner of the shop I guess I'll now get their name out to the public. The shop that royally screwed me and screwed up several other cars it Synergy Motorsports in Rancho Cucamonga. Mark is the owner, and he tells many lies, deceives, and then tries to justify his actions by getting young shool and saying "he did it first!". This shop needs to be avoided at all costs!

Looks great. You also did something different with the heat extractor vents correct? That outer lip? Looks good. Turn signals were a nice touch. I still haven't done anything about the washer nozzle thing. I may look into that on my next day off. My hood only shakes when its pretty windy outside. On a normal calm day no hood shake on the highway doing 80 or anything. Add some wind and it'll dance some.

And finally here are some pictures of my finished hood.

Haha thanks. I'm running out of ideas on what to do next. I have L/T's in the works. Starting to stash some cash to go ahead with that. But in the mean time I dont have the slightest idea what to mod next. I need to buy some tint overlay for the turn signals. After that... Suggestions? Thinking the GT500 spoiler, speakers, some suspension mods. I dunno
