Thanks. What cleaning solution did you use before applying your stripes?

 

I didn't use one. Plain old soap and water with a sponge, as instructed. The solution takes care of removing your waxes and what not. Believe me that stuff will get everywhere and you'll go through about 3 bottles of it in the course of installing them. Of course I did mine in an un-airconditioned garage while it was 110 out, so I needed to be very liberal with it.

 

Naphtha will strip all of the wax, It is also sold in auto body supply stores as tar & wax remover. It will clean the paint and strip all the wax off, which is what you want before you put on the stripes. I used it on my 83 and 85 GT's.
