Is signal tint legal?

I know that many of us on here are looking fo the answer to whether tinting our turn signals is legal for most areas. We have asked on the stangmods tint thread but i dont think the people that know our answer are reading that post. I am in georgia and am unsure of the others but could anyone please tell us if this mod is legal?

In most states, I believe if it shows up as orange/yellow while blinking it should be okay.
"all turn signals must emit amber light"
They also cannot decrease the amount of light normally emitted. This is usually the problem.
Most cops won't bother you if you have a BRIGHT amber blink.

To be honest I don't know whether or not it's legal here in NC. I've asked around and haven't gotten any definite answer, although most people believe it to be okay.

The other day I parked the Mustang next to six marked Crown Vic's with just as many police officers, and despite looking none of them said anything.

I guess what i will have to do is tint them and see how everything shines through. Im sure once i get it done i wont wanna take it off so ill prolly just hope my local cops dont mind lol. The thing is around here we just became our own city and recently started our own police force so theres a buch of new cops running around anxious to pass out some tickets. I do know that theres a 330ci running around completely blacked out. I believe every window is illegal and every light pretty much except his headlights are black. As good as this car looks i am sure it has caught the eye of some police officers and as he goes to my school i havent heard about him getting any tickets.

I was worried about the reflector part not showing up but a took a picture with a flash on an overcast day and the showed up so well looks like i dont have a tint and i'm running 20% static cling ones.

So i finally did it today. Like 48prerunner, i used 20% static cling and even during the day with the light on you cant even tell it is tinted. It simply looks a tiny bit more yellow than orange. Not enough to matter. I love how it turned out and it was a relatively simple and easy mod.
