You know, using the pictures is fine and all, we allow our dealers to do that, but "the manufacturer" ?? I mean, that's just going to have to be fixed, I am getting sick of this that many of the dealers won't say who is making the parts, when it's pretty obvious when the box shows up who's it is... it's not like they don't have a written agreement with us as to how the advertising of the products is supposed to be done...

Geeze!

On another note, these things are hot! We're packing them and shipping them at about the same speed, and it's just amazing the response to them so far, I'm really impressed.

And on the shirts... just a couple days!!! They are inbound to us, we're just waiting for them to arrive and figure out packaging to get them into the system. White, Yellow, and Ash at first, then we'll see what other colors may get added down the road. Coming soon!

Finally, mirror controls are off for finishing to both anodize and chrome shops - should be a couple weeks and we'll have them back and be ready to release as well!!

I was going to say something about that, too, but I was in a hurry. I notice that with several dealers and it bugs me. I never know if it's your stuff. SSinserts.com sells a bunch of it, and I can't tell if it's you, or a rip off. I've seen others that I know are yours, and still don't have your name.

On a similar note, I see that with a lot of products. I want a center fog light grill and so I've been shopping around. Quite a few sites don't show the manufacturer. In this case, I really wanna know whether it's 3D Carbon or Street Scene, because I specifically want the SS one (due to the center lights being spaced out a bit). Not only does it make it hard for the customer, it makes it hard to establish your name as a business.

Well it is bad for both sides.

As a customer, you associate certain name brands with a specific level of quality (as do I when I shop). As a manufacturer, we want to make sure that when someone buys our product, they know what they're getting and not having our name associated with garbage.

Both get washed away when the intermediate dealer does this name stripping. It opens up the opportunity for low-cost knock-offs that don't meet our specifications to be passed off as our products, while at the same time confusing people who are looking for a specific piece from a specific manufacturer. The unknowing customer then pays full-price for a piece that may or may not be what they thought they were going to get, and sometimes even calls us to later find that what they bought really wasn't ours!

The only people making out in this are the dealers who *think* the customers won't catch on to who's products they are buying and the rip-off companies that copy everyone else's work once the design work & R&D costs have already been spent. They all know who they are, and now that we are on an almost level footing with them in advertising capabilities, we're going to make sure that this eventually stops.

Sorry - just a sore spot with me

On the plus side, new catalog fliers are almost ready! This will be our last "flier" style catalog, after this, we're going to have to move into a full-on bound catalog, as there's just too much to list anymore. We've sure come a long way from the single product (honeycomb taillight panel) and postcard-looking handout we had just 3 years ago!!

As I read this thread, I thought to check my tracking number. It was supposed to be here tomorrow. To my surprise, it said "left at front door". You really outdid yourself. These things are fantastic looking. I thought the prototypes were good enough.

Marcello,

I ordered a set last week and arrive last night; unfortunately, I was inadvertently shipped two driver side inserts. I called first thing this morning and was told you guys would get the passenger side out right away. When I got home and checked the tracking info, I was astonished to see that package was picked up by FedEx an hour after I called and is already on its way. I know mistakes happen, but just wanted to say that whoever I spoke to this morning had an exceptional level of customer service, which will ensure that I continue to purchase the quality products you sell. BTW, I have an 08' HG Bullittt. I installed the driver side in about 3 seconds; it looks sinister on the car. Can't wait to get the other one! I will post pics.

Sweet, good to hear we got that straightened out for you. It's so easy to mix them up if you're packing hundreds of boxes, and to think we weren't sure that we wanted to mark the backside of the parts!

In any case, after your call, we randomly pulled 10 more sets off the shelf and checked them for Driver / passenger inserts - no problem, so I think you just got unlucky on that one, but like you said, we have the replacement already on the way

Thanks again, and do post pictures - we need to open up a new section on the website for these!

Not neccessarily - there can be rejects, overruns of one side, etc... but if there is a double passenger set out there, we haven't heard of it yet.

It's amazing how many people line up and point out how DIFFERENT my front end looks now that I have the SHR grille inserts. People point and gawk all the time!

I'm kidding, no one notices (not even at the last Mustang cruise...)

But then again, that's a testament to how "OEM" these things really look! Good job Marcello, I'm very happy!

I try to make all the mods to my '07 like that. Things that most people won't notice, but maybe a few will ask if that's factory. Noone ever says anything about the antenna being shorter than stock. But I know it looks better. I've been asked several times if my interior "bling" was factory.

Just installed mine tonight! They look great!

What surprised me the most is that is actually says drivers passengers on the part. Those little details make life so much easier and show you how much they care about what they are doing.

Keep up the good work! Now, if you only made a similiar insert for the Shinoda chin spoiler
