should i make my hood scoop functional?

so i have had the cervinis boss 429 hood/scoop on for a while, and i am thinking of cutting a little of the hood and putting a screen in to make it functional. i am not really doing this for performance, i just think that the scoop is getting too much air pressure inside it, and i do not want it to get damaged or come off over time. would this be a problem with driving in the rain? are all of the electrical connectors pretty sealed up on the top of the motor? this car is my daily driver, so even if its pouring rain i will have to drive it, and i will have to drive it in the winter. i am just thinking of cutting a small rectangular opening towards the back of the scoop, i dont want to cut it too much. what do you all think?

I am interested in the Roush hood scoop and wanted to make it functional by cutting a hole in the hood under the scoop.

Contacted local Mustang mod shop and the owner told me that he has done it to three Mustangs and all three ended up going to shaker scoops because of the hole in the hood...he says to much pressure builds up under the scoop and he will never do it again.

Contacted Roush and they said their scoop is designed to be non - functional only because if you cut a hole in the hood it will create a high pressure area under the hood.

Don't know if just cutting a "small" hole would cause problems but I can't find anyone that says that cutting a hole in the hood under a hood scoop
is a good thing. In the 60s and 70s people used functional hood scoops all the time and I never heard of problems with them.
