I finished installing the Cervini's side exhaust last night. In the end, it was too hard for somebody who is not much of a mechanic like me. No special tools were needed, I just used a simple socket wrench. The ground clearance thing also makes me worry a little, especially since my car is lowered. If you car is NOT lowered I don't see ANY problem with this kit! With the Eibach Pro Kit on my car, the lowest part of the exhaust sits just 3" from the ground, that's pretty low. I'm going to leave the car lowered for now, but if I run into too many problems, then I'll put the stock springs back on. Here's a few pics without the side skirts on as they are at the paint shop until Friday/Saturday.

:worship: alright, I don't know what other smilies to use... I really want one, I have the car dropped, so I gotta think of the clearance issue. I'm actually going to wait for Hallibrand to come out with theirs, see if it's the same set up or better clearance for lowered cars
LOOKING GREAT SO FAR!

it kinda also seems, to me at least, that they have like two diffrent looks. Its gonna be hard to explain but and mabey its just me but ill try anyway. Like the Cervinis has a lower front facia (like most other kits for the stang right now); another person on this site described it as "depth" in another topic one time, while the saleen has kinda a diffrent look, like more of the stock hight, but with just a diffrent look. (If anyone knows what im trying to say right now and can put it in better words, feel free, because i know im not doing a very good job lol). I kinda like that about the saleen, but i still like the cervinis looks too . I dont know, now im just rambleing on...BTW thanx for all the opinions so far

For someone with only 23 posts in 3 and a half months, you sure do type a lot. I do know what you are talking about though. The Saleen front is not quite as low, and doesn't quite stick out as much as some of the other kits like the one from Cervini's. I just don't like the shape of the Saleen front bumper, or the openings in it. Saleens have always looked too European to me. I like harder lines like the original Mustangs had.

wow, how does the side exhaust sound?

You need to find some tunnels to go screaming through

Don't pay somebody to install it, do it yourself! It takes a while, but in the end you will love your car that much more knowing that you've done everything. Yes, it can be a little intimidating at first, but once you start working on it you'll feel like a pro.

I just put the Cervini's side skirts and rear lip on yesterday, it took a few hours but there was nothing difficult about it at all!

Post some pictures please!

On the exhaust: does the system have much drone? If so, at what RPM? I've listened to the sound clips but you really can't hear much regarding drone. Also, it bolts to the stock H, correct? Thanks for the info.

I have to ask. Have you seen both of these kits in person?

I was sold on the 3d Carbon kit until I saw it in person. Don't get me wrong, I think it looks great, but it took away the original lines of the car a little more than I wanted.

Everything looks different in person, pictures can't really do it justice.

I would say if you haven't seen one or both of these in person, see if you can. I'm sure you can catch a Saleen at a lot of local Ford dealers, don't know about the Cervini's though.

Aside from that I would vote for the Saleen, although I too don't like the rear spoiler at all.

I have seen the saleen at the auto show a few times, and it looked even better in person , as for the cervinis i have not seen it in person so i cant comment on that, but i know where your coming from. Pictures can make cars seem better w/ certain angles and other things. I wish i could see one but for the cervinis ill just have to go on what i see in pictures. Like you said, the cervinis might be tough to find.

Yeah, I hear you. I had to drive 100 miles to a car show to get a look at the 3d Carbon car.

I'm in Lansing, and I know a couple of body shop people who might give you good deals.

I could also help on the install if you needed it. I've done all the work on my own car myself. In fact, I know how to paint and have a garage for it, I just don't have the time to do all that wetsanding, I already had to do that to my car, LOL.
