alright well ive almost got enough money saved up and im thinking about a kit (my car is black if it makes any difference). Its really between the saleen and the cervinis. I like them both alot, so its gonna be a tough decsion. I like the saleen kit alot, but i was thinking of it w/ a ducktail and a diffrent rear (SS?) as another possibility. Any suggustions on possible rears would be appreciated as well. If i went w/ the saleen kit, it would include the hood as well (or at least, eventually it would ) Just to note, i wouldn't use the wheels/tires from either.

Thanks

I like the Saleen, but it might seen like a "poser" car, becuase its not really a Saleen, and people might bash you for that, but I wont . I realy like the look of the Saleen kit, probally better than Cervinis, but it would be close.

If I had to pick an entire kit, I'd go for the Cervinis over the Saleen, mainly because I think the saleen rear spoiler looks disgusting.

Really, though, I wouldn't buy either full kit. I have most of what Cervinis offers now, minus the hood and front fascia, but I have Saleen suspension(obviously not part of the body kit, but still a product of Saleen). It's better to mix and match, in my opinion. Why would you want to buy an entire kit from one company, then it's not really yours, its' theirs. Find stuff you like from more than one company and make your mustang custom. The good thing about Saleen and Cervinis, and other companies, if that you can often buy single pieces of the body kit for just about the same price as the kit combined.

It's been done a million times over in the past and most people don't say anything about it. I doubt anyone will ever call him a poser.

I LIKE MY COMBO, SALEEN FRONT BUMPER WITH THE CDC BLACKOUT PANEL IN BACK. IT LOOKS ALOT LIKE THE SALEEN REAR I THINK.

I CALL IT THE POOR MAN'S SALEEN, BUT MAN DOES IT GET LOOKS.

I voted Cervinis but if you want a practical kit, get the Saleen. IMO the side exhaust just sets too low to be practical as a daily driver. Or do a combo kit...

Looks like a good start, but IMO incomplete, feels like the side skirts and front fascia are not "talking" to each other... find something that complements the look. Rear blackout looks cool

Cervinis is what I have in mind for mine. I was set to Saleen for a while, but I think it takes away from the retro theme of the car, it makes it look more exotic than muscle car

94tbird,
I think a CDC ducktail would round out your package pretty well. Good choice on the spoiler delete. I never see any mustangs with the spoiler delete package on the lots here in Oregon, I think it has to be a special order only.

281sc,
I would be more inclined to do neither kit and put your money in a ducktail spoiler, dream car factory hood, and some 19 or 20 rims with tires. This would make your car pretty unique on the street and it would look very tastefully done.

I voted Cervinis. Not only because of what another member said about having Saleen parts may get you called a "poser"... but I also much prefer the look of the Cervini kit to the Saleen. One thing though... if you do go with Cervini's, I would recommend the SSE ducktail instead of the one from Cervini's... it's just too tall IMO.

I like the cervini myself, but chose to go with the CDC classic chin, SS rear facia and skirts.

I also voted Cervini's (I actually just received the side exhaust/skirts/rear lip yesterday). I have a different hood though and plan to use a different spoiler.

Thanks for the opinions guys. It is tough, like i said :bang: . I think they they both look good, but in diffrent ways. One concern i had about cervinis was the ground clearence thing. Krazed, im also looking heavily at the saleen suspension. Do you (or anyone else) know if it lowers your car (if so how much). I wonder if it would be too low w/ the cervini's. I just went to the NAIAS a few days ago and saw the saleen...it looked pretty darn good in person (obviously the cervinis wasnt there). I like the front facia and the hood of the saleen, but i like the side skirts and the rear of the cervinis. But i dont think combining them would look good. Pictures might help too. Thanks for the opinions guys, keep em comin .

I don't think combining them is a good idea either... I think Cervinis keeps you around the old school look, where Saleen is more of a exotic look, not really a "Mustang", but to each its own.
Hey Stu, OF COURSE YOU HAVE TO PUT PICS OF YOUR CERVINIS KIT!!! right?

I have Cervinis side exhaust to go with my Saleen suspension. Yes the suspension lowers the car, I would say a bit less than an inch, though mine haven't full set in yet. And to be honest the combination of side exhaust and lowering does give you some hassles when you're driving, but you learn quickly where you can and can't go. Luckily I live in Louisiana, where hills are almost non-existant. However if you lived somewhere with a lot of severe inclines then you may want to skip that particular combination.

Another thing about the side exhaust is that it joints with clamps, which are sent with the kit. Personally I hate that, and had mine welded together. If you have the cash and know someone who won't screw it up, I suggest you plan to weld it as well. You might not end up having too, but I think it's a better option than the clamps.
