OK, even though I said my headliner was my "last" mod, I really want to do my calipers. I've read/searched all the post. I don't think I want to invest in 4 jack stands, but two I can buy or maybe borrow. So I will two wheels at a time. I've read to put the stand on the frame.

Now I need help. If I look under my car in the rear, is the frame right by the muffler (the 4-5" wide metal piece running down the car)? And at the front is it just behind the front tire (same beam)?? And can I use my car jack (for flat tires) to put each jack on.

Help!!

Well, I continued my search and found a few more topics. Putting my car up on all four points is starting to sound scary, huh????

Went ahead and did both today, boy I made this an all day affair by jacking only two tires at a time. But I'm happy with the results. Let's see if they last....

Just in case the posts or pixs are lost. I spent three and a half days spray painting all of the rear axle and wheel wells and all 4 calipers and rotors. Two jacks or stands were used as needed for the rear and one jack or block of wood under the K member. I cleaned with simple green and removed all casing lines or buildup for a smooth finish. Removed or taped anything that should not be painted. The calipers are completly painted as this car will never see wet roads. I used "Dupli-color's" Engine spray. My wife chose the color, she wanted something other than everyone else had. Once you drive, a crisp line is cut on the rotor.

Okay Guy's..........My G2 Caliper Paint came today and I have my Xenon decals ready to paint/install! My question is approx. how long should I let the caliper paint dry before I install the wheels and drive?

I painted my calipers using the kit from Eastwood. Instructions say you can remount the wheels after two hours, and to wait 24 hours before driving. The paint stays tacky for a long while, which would probably cause it to pick up dust during driving.

Oooo good point! Thanks, I was told by a friend to wait a least 24 hours before driving! Just checking!

Thanks for the info.
