The rear bumper should take within 30 - 45 minutes. Shorter if you don't remove the rear wheels to get access to the screws.

Pixs of inside rear bumper cover

Here are some pictures of the inside of my original rear bumper cover, showing the wiring assembly, which is secured by rivets, that had to be transferred over to my new cover. The original rivets are big, like 1/4", which I couldn't find, so I used 1/8" rivets with 2 rivet washers. After placing the rivet into the rivet gun, slide one washer on the rivet, so it rests against the flange of the rivet, then after you position the new rivet into place, just put another washer on the bottom of the rivet, and squeeze. Worked perfect!

Wiring assembly installed

Below is a shot of the wiring assembly installed on the new bumper cover. You can't see the two new rivets on the end, because there's some rubber insulation re-installed on top of them now,

Thumbs up Thanks for the info guys ....

Am going to wake up at the crack of dawn in order to get it all done early to snap some pictures for you all. Can't wait to get it over with and move on to bigger and better mods !!!!!!

Going to home depot to get my rivet gun and misc tools to get this done.
The color is off on the parts by a little. Unfortunately I won't be able to
get the fenders blended in until Jan.

Have to take the wife and kids to Disney in Dec. and to Ocala to visit the family.

Thumbs up Front Fascia Conversion Complete !!

I'll post pics tomorrow after I do the rear bumper cover. Looks great so
far. I am sooooo tired. Am not 20 years old anymore, so this forty something
guy is having some major back pain. Its been a number of years since I've worked on a car (In any way). You guys / gals are going to love the results.
The rear spoiler and hood paint job is a little off. Front bumper perfect and I think the rear bumper is going to be good as well. Have to take it back to the body shop in Jan to get it right.

Yeah, I wasn't prepared for this either. It came as a complete surprise. I ended up using 1/4x20 nuts and bolts instead of rivets on the larger holes -- four total.

You and me both dude. I did both my front and rear covers on the same day. Needless to say, it was a Tylenol night.....

Yesterday I painted the hood, the last body component needed to complete the job. Today, it gets bolted on!!! My pics to follow too!

Sweet. I definitely like the look of the factory hood better than the GT500. It doesn't make the grill look so big. Are you putting the air dam on it? I wonder what one would look like painted instead of black.

Talking Thanks for the compliments ....

So far am happy with the results. I just need to get the fenders blended in
for the GT500 hood. I'll probably do it after the holidays.
