Next Shelby GT500 Conversion Coming Soon !!!
I already removed the rear spoiler, rear faux gas cap and emblems from my GT. The Shelby GT500 front fascia, hood, rear bumper and spoiler should be ready to go on next week. So am preparing for the installs. I just can't wait to see it come together.
Tools:
1. Wifes blow dryer.
2. Plastic scrapper
3. Goo Gone - to disolve glue
4. Lots of time !!!!!
It was a little pain in the neck to do - but not that big a deal.
I plugged up the holes with some rubber plugs - since you never know when it will rain in SFLA !!

looks awesome dude can not wait to get started on mine but i would stick with the GT500 rear emblem for the sake that it closes the keyhole alot better then the aftermarket on i can see some paint unlike the factory ones
Is the trunk emblem the same size as the stock GT emblem? Do you still have the old trunk emblem? Can you measure the black parts on both and see if they are the same diameter?
I want to get the Cobra trunk emblem, but I want to get an overlay made for it that says "GT" (like the stock GT emblem). I really like the brushed look!

The Cobra Faux Fuel Door hole is the same size as the GT one. It looked bigger because I had not installed it yet (It was about 1/2 away from the
body).
The Cobra emblems come with the same alignment pins - so yes it covers the
holes.
I installed the Cobra Faux Fuel Door and the Shelby GT500 rear spoiler today -
Looks great !!!!!

Also picked up the front fascia and rear bumper and hood as well. Which I will install this weekend. Weather permiting.
Also the hood was scratched by the installer when trying to pop out the
hood vent.
They are going to take care of it when I come back next week.
On a bad note the Hood color did not match the fenders
So looks like am going to have to have them blend in the fenders as well.
Sorry kids - no PS3 this year !!! LOL
Only kidding the kids were'nt getting one anyways.
I'll post some pictures this weekend when am all done !!!

Wait a little bit, Shelby is coming out with a 3 piece 40th anniversary wheel made just for the 2005+ Mustangs in 19" and 20". This wheel looks awesome. I have not found any pics of it on the internet but there is a picture of it in the Jan 07 Hot Rod magazine.
So do you think I would be able to get it and just get an overlay for the black part? (or is the cobra not flat or what)
Looks awesome. I can't wait to see more pics. I am wanting to put the Shelby front on my Windveil Blue Mustang with a Steeda hood. Not really planning on the full GT500 conversion but it will be nice to see how yours turns out since it is the same color.
Here's a WB with the front end GT500 conversion.
Let us know when the CS67's can be ordered in 18x9.5. Looking to get a set of these myself.

What to do.
