Question Interior color is a gray and unfortunately there was

no black interior at the time on the lot with the exterior color I wanted.
So I might change out the interior to black with this blue for the seats
and door panels plus the on area in the rear side panels I never see done
like the concept car. So can't decide if I should leave the gray interior
and add the blue leather seats from Classic Soft Trim or change it to black
and add the seats, etc .....
The rug is definitely going to black - the gray is almost dirty yellow at this point !!

I also plan to re-do the interior with this color seats.
Should I switch to black interior pieces or leave it gray w/ blue seats?

Since you live in Sunny FLA, would the black seem to make the car's interior warmer? IMO the black would show off your blue seats better.

Anyone know it the bumpers are still on back order? I ordered mine about 3 weeks ago and I think Kevin said they hadn't announced they were back in production of the bumper covers yet.

Yeah, 3 of us had ours shipped from the packager, however unfortunately all three have went to one of us! (not me, sighhh)
so as of now we are just waiting for ford to fix it all w/ Fed ex. Give Kevin a call, i'm sure he'll love to hear about another bumper cover question!

I would not say that..... It would be best if you gave Kevin a call and asked him, I just know GT, Mangler, and myself had ours shipped to mangler.... Yours may not be in this mix-up, they did not even come from Ford, it came directy from the Packager, that's where the mix up went. Kevin had no control over this quirk..... Give Kev a call, who knows, maybe yours is sitting on your doorstep already and you did not even realize it!

Talking Shelby GT500 Front Fascia & Rear Bumper

On order and I should have mine in about 7 days according to KC.
My bumper cover was not one of those three according to KC.
So am not worried. Am in no rush because I still have to get the hood scoops, hood and rear spoiler. I will buy these pieces over the next few paychecks and have the car probably painted once I get my next commission check in Dec. I've heard estimates for painted stripes run between $ 2000.00 - $2500.00 here in SFLA. Seems like alot of dough for this kind of job. I'll
be doing some research on the best place to paint my baby and at a decent
price. Am sure KC is doing all he can to get our parts. So don't worry guys !!

Talking Shelby GT500 Parts closer to shipping ...

According to KC I should have them soon. I went ahead and ordered the rear spoiler from him as well today. Now I just need to order the hood scoops - probably due this on Oct. 15. Then order the hood locally here in SFLA.
Looks like my baby won't see a drop of paint until all the parts are in.

Can't wait to have it all together. I am going to Classic Soft Trim in Ft. Lauderdale on the Friday the 29th to get a quote on my new seat covers and to check out the color in person. Also still have not decided on the wheels yet, either replica Shelby GT500 wheels from Mustang Tuning now on sale $129.00 each or spring for the CS67's.

Wonder what kind of price I can get on these from KC for 18x9.5's
all around?

Any opinions out there?
Also white or gray stripes ?

Its going to look sooooo sweet !

That is good to hear as I plan on ordering mine next week. Then I have to save for the wheels and tires. Looks like this will be a winter project after all . The worst part is my 68 is being sold to partially pay for this. Oh that and the house needs new siding.

$2000 to $2500 is not too bad all though at that price I would expect a wet sand after the first clear and a second clear to smooth the edges of the stripes.

Talking Tracking numbers issued - parts are on their way !!!

All except my rear bumper . Seems there is a hold up on them, no matter
am happy the front fascia parts, rear spoiler are on its way.

Many thanks to KC for putting up with my multiple calls and getting the parts out to me as promised.

Hopefully I will make up my mind about the wheels, stripes and shelby emblems soon. Going to Classic Soft Trim in Ft. Lauderdale next Friday
to check out the leather seats (blue 601) in person. Also looks like the
Shelby CS67 18x.9.5 wheels are'nt being produced yet. No matter they
will be produced by the time I am ready to purchase them.

I went up to Tower Shops in Davie and had a great time last night. I saw
a Mustang GT with the street scene ducktail - not impressed, in my opinion too tall. Have not seen the classic design concepts ducktail - but no matter - I purchased the Shelby GT500 rear spoiler already - fits the factory holes on the rear deck - so am happy with that. I went to the parking lot at work to go out to lunch and lo and behold seems like one of our top execs purchased a Shelby GT500 - man looks better in person !!!

Gt.... i just removed the rear spoiler on mine for the Gt500 spoiler, It will bolt up perfectly, however wait and see how much fun it is to remove the old one! Seems like they used some kind of industrial strength concrete based adhesive tape on there!!! Now, i'm fussing with removing all the leftovers from the decklid, goo gone is taking forever.... Tuff stuff this tape! Can't wait to get into removing the deck gas cap.... that looks like it's going to be twice as fun! I am using fishing line, dental floss, and a fine tooth sawsall blade (taped up of course) to chew at the adhesive to get things seperated. PATIENCE is probably the best word i can use for getting the old off! Installing the new will be a sinch after it gets back from paint. Just a few tips from what i encountered thus far.......

Exclamation Thanks for the tips !!!

Still trying to decide if am going to have the stripes painted or not. If I do I will have the body shop slap it all together - of coarse this will be more expensive.
Or I might just do the labor myself and have no stripes done which would mean I just need to bring her in for the hood and blend in the paint to the fenders.
I weight all my options once I have all the parts in. I really want to put it all
together at the same time to complete the look. Body work, wheels & tires, interior (seats in blue leather, new rug). So don't know if am going with the shelby replica wheels or the CS67's in 18x9.5 or with the full blown shelby emblems or custom GT emblems like the ones on the concept car.

Yeah i agree... GT, I found out that it is only going to cost me an additional 300-350 for the painted stripes! Because since they are already doing the bulk of the work (Front cover, hood, rear cover, spoiler and rear bumper) He said he would only charge for the extra materials and extra labor involved.... this way he can clear right over the black and the stripes.... Ask your painter the difference, you may be pleasantly supprised like i was!
