GT,

I had one ding in my rear bumper and I just left it out in the sun for a little bit and pushed it back gently.

KC,

Have to take a picture of the harness retaining part that rivets to the rear bumper for you (the one that is missing from Fords manuals).

Thumbs up Thanks for everything guys !!!

Did as KC recommended and left it in the hot SFLA sun for a while and
like magic it disappeared. Going to a few Ford Dealers to get a few estimates
for paint. Have to pay off the mastercard by next pay period then I'll be ordering the hood vents from KC. After that the hood, and hopefully before
Christmas (next commission check) - paint is going on.

That's great to hear GTRacerX!
Don't forget to make sure they don't paint the difusser at all.
Also, be sure to check out regular body shops. Most (but not all) dealerships only have average painters and they charge too much. Ask around and get some recomendations. Ask other car guys because they're usually pretty picky about having work done on their cars..

Talking Final Stage is nearing on getting this done !!!

Just ordered my hood vents, Cobra Emblems - without GT500 reference anywhere. Ordering the Shelby GT500 hood on Saturday and I plan to have
the parts at the body shop by this weekend. Its taken this long because I had
to wait for my commission check to come in. Anyone know of a good place to sell my stock hood, front fascia, grille, rear bumper and spoiler? I'll probably sell the stock 17" wheels as well to fund the whole wheels & tires project !!

Can't wait to finish the whole conversion

Will the RK Sport California Dream hood work with the Shelby front bumper? I'd really like to make my GT look more like the concept vehicle.

I was thinking the Shelby front bumper, RKS CD hood, Xenon side skirts and rear bumper and Xenon side C-scoops.

Wheels would be Shelby Razors...just because I like them...:O)

So...will the bumper and hood combo work?

Thanks,
DP

I think any hood will work as long as the underside is the same as as stock.

hey GTracer...looks like I beat you to it...and from Paris France. Sorry No pics tonight..it's pouring out. I had all the parts delivered to France, inculding the hood. It all made it all the way over here without a scratch. I got everything installed and painted by a local body shop. They did a really nice job with the paint. The car looks like it came out of the factory. The intstalation and paint cost 1200$. The only thing I don't really like is the Shelby spoiler..I think it looks ricey..maybe I will delete it all together. But for now, I will try and live with it. The French mechanics who did the work had no problem, they didn't know the car and had never even seen a Mustang before.

Windveil Blue 2005GT imported to France from NY.
Mods. Borla exhaust, Tokico shocks, Brent Speed tune with a C and A cai. Steeda brace. GT500 front end, GT500 Hood, GT500 spoiler. Was lowered with Eibach pro, but I raised it back up again..too much trouble bottoming out.

GT.... of course you can try posting on the boards thru and ad, or even e-bay, but then you'll have to deal w/ all the shipping non-scence..... I sold all my stuff to a local salvage yard, they even came and picked it up!! I will say you probably will not get much for it, but for me it beat having to store it all and probably eventually throwing it all away in a couple years.... Try it out, only takes a few phone calls...... You got to figure in time more and more new stangs will be smashed up from goof offs, and the deal lookers will be lookin at the yards... worth a try anyway! Hope this helps! Man, I thought you disapeared there for awhile!! I was thinking you were turning the Mustang into fancy crib or something! LOL.....

Wink Would have done it sooner ....

But am a family guy and have to pay the other bills first. Make sure the wife and kids are taken care of first. Plus I make less than in my previous job, so
its taken a while. Commision checks come quarterly.

I think the look am going for will be worth it in the end. Just waiting for
Shelby to release their CS67's in 18x9.5 to complete the look. Plus am
going with matching door inserts / seats in Blue leather with grey interior
pieces. After that going for interior MGW pieces, Cobra steering wheel - w/o GT500 on it. Either a Eclipse AVN5435 or Kenwood Excelon DDX8017 Stereo
w/ Rockford Fosgate speakers & amps.

Then finish the suspension mods, brakes & then on to the engine - which is
a work in progress.

Talking Windveil Blue Cobra - work in progress

Drop off the Shelby hood, Front Fasica, Rear Bumper, Rear Spoiler at the body shop. Am a little disappointment that he won't get to it til next week, but at
least I know it will get done soon. Can't wait ! I wanted to get the parts back by Wednesday and be able to put it together by this weekend. I'll keep you
guys / gals posted. The hood arrived today at the body shop and the vents and emblems should get here tomorrow. I am definitely excited and can't wait to see it finished. Also can't wait til Shelby releases their CS67's in 18x9.5 !!!

Can't wait to finish my 007 Cobra Special. LOL

Angry Decissions, Decissions ....

Just called Carroll Shelby Wheels - The CS67's will not be available for another 60-90 days in 18x8, 18x9.5. So looks like am going to wait on them,

either that or get the 20x9, 20x10.

What to do.
