This just may the kit I've been waiting for.
The ballasts are on the headlight assemblies themselves. A separate wiring harness with relays is included to make everything plug right up after you install the headlight assemblies.

I'll try to get that answer from the manufacturer on that for you. We do not know for sure.

Hi Gus

See what can be done as a group buy or for the Forum members? There looks
to be alot of people thinking about them.

Are the connectors in the wiring harness adapter waterproofed like the OEM connectors?

I had to buy some aftermarket 9007 connectors and noticed that they did not bother to waterproof them (SUVlights, Rallylights, etc...)

The OEM uses weatherpack-style connectors that have rubber seals for the connectors and wires.

That sucks ... what is the difference if he packs two GT500 lights into the box instead of two V6/GT lights ... do they use different connectors or wiring or something? Standard GT500 lights actually retail for LESS than V6/GT lights.

The GT500 housings are different than the V6/GT lights.

I checked with the manufacturer and these are not compatible with Canadian daytime running lights because the system runs at a lower voltage than the HID's do.

PM sent to your question.

For everyone else I looked at the harness and it looks like a combination of weatherpack and OEM style connectors.

Remember that when you buy them from Ford with the car you are adding $525.00 above and beyond the price of the standard headlamps. You are in essence getting a credit for the standard equipment of $275? and then paying the upgrade say $800 for a net price of $525.00. You don't get HID headlamps with the standard ones laying in the boxes in the trunk. Then if you count the fact that youmust have anti-theft option $325.00 then you're at $1,125.00 for the setup whether you wanted anti-theft or not. So $1,000.00 isn't bad for OEM. Still cheaper than parts counter.

I don't see what the big deal is with HIDs. I just bought a 2008 pony package V6 coupe for my son and it came with HIDs. We had to get one out of dealer inventory as his previous car was totaled due to a senile citizen making a left hand turn from a right hand lane. Anyway I had the opportunity of testing both vehicles on a quiet industrial park road at night and I see better with my OEM halogen headlights.

As an aside I will say that I have plastic lenses in my eyes due to cataract surgery several years ago which improved my night vision but requires that I wear sunglasses during the day. It may be that these plastic lenses react differently to the color shift between the two systems due to a density difference from natural lenses.
